Rick, Due-wane, and Bob for the comments. It was a surprize to me when the photographer showed up just yesterday...to take pictures for a story being written about my wife and I. Really? I said. And the next day, here it is.
A friend I've known for over 20 years put the story together from our talks over a few cold ones over the years, and sold the idea to the Star 'Blunder'(as we call it).
Thanks again guys, and to all my fellow vets.."Welcome Home" (which I hope to say to my grandson Chris when he returns from over there).

Reason to be proud.

Maybe America didnt welcome you home the way it should have but i remember looking at every returning soldier with pride. That was a wicked cruel war....
