i don't even know for sure that the article exists. i'd just like to see it if possible.

      560 HP

is that still on the 231ci displacement? hoo-ah! +2 hp per cube normally aspirated, they must have really been spinning those things up.

Todd, I have a 7700 chip in it and it gets there quick. It's built for 8500, but I don't want to spin it that high. Although I have spun it at 8100 without the chip at Ocala Speedway with a 686 gear. At NSS we put a 546 gear in it and hit the limiter last month at the Reunion race.
DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' TURBO NEITHER.....LOL
13.5 compression and 11/2 inch valve springs, aluminum head, iron block.
Yup, all in 231 ci. It's so small you can put your arms around it and give it a hug.....LOL. Last race was at Louden,NH at 128mph on the straight away(1 mile track). Best toy I ever had.....

you might find the turbo's a little disturbing. some of the drag guys are pushing them over 1500hp. but then a rebuild every lap would probably get a little expensive.

sorry Benny, i am interested in the normally aspirated, push rod, 2 valve/cylinder, un-NOSed build up. i expect that the Busch engine was the pinnacle of this type of build.

Todd, when I need parts for the Stage 2 this is the only web site I could find them-nothing available at auto parts stores.

It's actually a 274 c/i. It is a purpose built block with the appearance of the Buick 3.8.

Hey Jim, that's a bad V6. Hey, just curious, did Raabe Racing ever sweeten the deal on that engine you bought from them? jrberto@cox.net

www.TAPerformance.com is also big in the Buick 6 stuff.

i was thinking i had seen that the Busch motors were a little bigger. still over 2hp per cube though, that's nothing to sneeze at in an IC engine of any type.

thanks to Mike Poole i've got SCR 11-80 and 3-82. if anybody finds anything else i'd appreciate it.
