I see where Volusia is paying 1500 to the winner of the late model race Saturday night. Where's the hype? According to their web for the rest of the season, it's just regular shows, you would think there would be someone on here giving some info. How many laps? Some of the drivers that are scheduled?

Hey Bean, You're right, no hype. Volusia opens their 2008 season on Sat. 3/15/08 and continues to be Florida's track for the highest payouts and overall best show on dirt. The Late Models will most probably race 30 laps and you can certainly count on all of your favorites to be there. Being that its a regular points race the drivers wont pre enter and I wouldnt want to speculate which drivers will be in attendance but I will tell you that ALL of the infield slabs are sold out !! The grandstands open at 5:00 and racing starts at 7:00. Volusia Speedway Park is located 15 miles west of I-95 on S.R. 40 or 5 miles east of S.R. 17 in Barberville. V.S.P. will open on Fri. 3/14/08 for open practice for all divisions. DRIVERS, If you were in attendance on Fri.2/22/08 practicing for the winter warm up event, your armbands will be honored for admission.

Yes we will be at Volusia friday and saturday night,Cant wait!!!.....We was going to race Ocala this friday night but called VSP about the armbands from 2/22 and they said you couldnt use them for $15 off this saturday that you would have to use them friday ......,I hope they come up with a resceldule date for that special hobby stock race that was supposed to be that weekend for sometime soon,since they told us they wasnt refunding the entry fee to anyone yet.....See ya'll there
