Don, I know youre right to a large degree, all those guys do work hard, and they are awesome drivers. But from what i see, they most all have large crews working with them. I know I made it sound like they sit on their duff and just pay people to do all the work. But you kinda made it sound a little like they live in their shop, alone, working all night. I think maybe we both were someplace in between. I mean most all of them have completely totaled their car and came right back the next week with a better one. Someone had lots of help and spent lots of money. There are people that cant come out on a given night because they need tires or a side of a car replaced and dont have the money for parts. I personally have worked on the body of a truck 2-3 times for several days putting fenders, doors sides that were in 3 pieces back together. Where as if we had the $ to buy new parts it would of been together and painted in 1/2 the time. So yes Don, even if you work on it a lot, and I believe most racers do when thet can afford it. You say Bonny Sears has no money? I like him a lot and a great racer, but he could buy and sell lots of these back yard racers. Example, shocks, all we could afford were handme downs while others were buying $200 penskes and putting big dollar guts in them.....and getting away with it.
