    Jim Bargo Of Bargo Auto Sales Has Past Away Today. Jim Was Know For Helping And Sponsering Alot Of Racecar Drivers And He Loved To Race Those Fan Races. Will Always Remember #500 That Fast Ass Mustang . Rest In Piece Jim . And I Remember The First Time In A Real Racecar At Auburndale Got In One Of Jimmy Cherrys Figure 8 Car To Make A Lap Or 2 And On The First Lap Fire Off Of Turn 2 And Hit The Wall Head On. He Crowled Out And Said I Am Done With This Car.

    Big Jim was always a fixture at the tracks, especially East Bay and a huge supporter of racing in the Bay Area... Nice guy and always fun to talk to.. he had quite a personality... RIP Mr. Bargo

      Big Jim was a great race fan in the tampa bay aera..He was a sponsor of many great racers and loved the sport. He always was a great suporter of any track i was at. Rember the fan races that Jim was in... He would keep the fans standing up.. after he would come to the tower and say..were they cheeering? yep Jim were are still cheering for you.

          Everyone is so right, Jim helped alot of local drivers out over the years, and loved local racing.

          Here's a pic when he first sponor my dad's car at East Bay in 1978.

            Big Jim was a fixture at both East Bay and the Florida Fairgrounds Speedway for as long as I've been going to those tracks. Next year will be my 30th anniversary of going to East Bay.

            Whenever the Fan Partcipation races would happen, Big Jim would grab some hot car off the used car lot, drive it to the track, race it that night, and back on the sales lot the next day.

            Wonder how many cars he sold that had been 'race tested' before the new owners got them???
