Rick, I like you. And I also understand that it's easier to keep this idiot as a friend (and one of a hundred paying customers at DSP, apparently) rather than to shun him. You are a smart guy and have been around this board BS block dozens of times. Even with that said, though....I still can't stomach the tripe this whack job spews out.

I have had several off board comments with Tuna and they have resulted in much more milder posts by Him. Yet this clown has needed personal attention from KARNAC and then felt the need to boast about it to other board members? And then to threaten them with retribution from you, personally?

And don't forget, Rick, I have been banned from this place. Twice as a matter of fact. And even now, can you honestly say that I ever told a lie or misrepresented the truth or my intentions towards anyone on this forum? In the whole time I have been posting on this board, have you ever heard me use foul and abusive language towards anyone that hadn't used the same level of foulness with me first? If so, please show me and I will gladly recant and apologize.

There are only a couple of people I have had problems with on here anyhow.

One was Carol. She knows why and so do you. I still remember the crap that was thrown at her looong before I even met her. Anything I ever had to say about or to Carol was mild in comparison to what went on before.

Another was Mr. South and never did any of that get into cursing or threats or a need to PM back and forth with threats to "publish" their content for all to see. He is an educated man who is as opinionated as a lot of other people on here. He also has a son he loves and supports with all his heart. I respect and admire him. I just don't agree with him about some things.

But lets take your new friend Tuna. Let's take a look at some of his posts to Rex, myself or anybody else that "came at him" (his words). Explain to me why some of the tripe he was allowed to spew on here was overlooked and deemed allowable while others were moderated or banned for having opinions that didn't exactly line up with the current (for the day) KARNAC party line? Just a little clarification for myself and a boatload of other people of average intelligence and reasoning.

Just some. That's all I ask.

You say your intervention has resulted in "much more mild posts by Him".....(and I really hope your capitalization of the pronoun was a typo).....I say he is still trying to stir up his OWN Tuna-pot. When I read 90% of his posts I can't help but zero in on how many times he tries to reference himself or try to rehash a problem he had with somebody. What an ego this guy has! Other people have seen this dweeb for what he is and can just ignore his rudeness and lies. I, unfortunately, don't have that particular gene in my pool. I have a hard time letting idiocy and blatant asshole-ism just slide by. I know I should but in 48 years I haven't been able to control it so I'm not sure it's gonna start happening anytime soon.


I understand about ulterior motives and doing what you have to do to survive in the racing community, Rick. I've seen people blow out of a track, cursing the owner, the promoter, the techman, the food stand lady and anybody else they could think of, swearing they'll never be back....only to show up a few weeks later, tail between their legs not and not mentioning what they'd said three weeks before. It works the same from the other end, too. Even your employer has seen what his previous hard-line stance has reaped and it seems now he has adopted a less harsh, more compatible style of management. I just don't know if it's too little too late or if maybe he can somehow turn DSP around. I just don't know.

My point is that changes have to be made every day to survive and while not everybody can understand them, they still have to be made. I can't tell John how to run a racetrack any more than I can tell you how to run KARNAC.
But do I have an opinion about it? Sure.
Is it worth a hill of beans?
Well, that's what you have to decide.

But I have always, and I mean ALWAYS, called a spade a spade.

i have made it a conscious effort to not aggravate or respond to you. The Gods honest truth is i have no clue why you are so mad at me. i would give anything to stop our feud (if there is one) because i really enjoyed talking to you.
things were VERY bad for me before you came along. it was all about getting hits on karnac and it would never have stopped if Jack and i hadnt become friends and talked it out. it was horrid. i actually made ALOT of friends because of all that. i held fast and never got vulgar even tho it hurt me and my family alot. now the people involved tell me it was all in fun. WHO'S? surely not mine.
i think you are very hard on people. i also think sometimes you respond with tongue in cheek and things just escalate out of control.

I hate going on fire alarms at 3:45 in the AM that 99.9% of the time are just system malfunctions. But it's a part of my job and much as I think it's foolish, I would be remiss and get my ass handed to me if I didn't roll. I guess if I had wanted to sleep all night I'd do something simple like pest control.
