    Went to Desoto with a 633 and was hitting 7000 half way down the straight...

      I ran a 6:20 at Desoto and Ocala in sportsman at about 6800..
      Orlando is a little smaller than 3/8 mile I think though.

        Yep had the plans in my hand and they added 80' to the stright away at desoto! Nascar and the ins co have nervr mazde up their minds how the size shold be done... 8' of the bottom is what all the ols racers have done for years.
        dont need homework just better math...5280' is a mile da'' 1320 is the ph# for the drag strip.
        check out VCS sprint times and let me know if its the "Fastest 1/2 mile dirt"

            Actually Google earth can measure them. Does anybody do any research before they post. It ain't that hard. I did about two minutes of research. This might help you guys get your facts straight. A half mile is 2640 feet and it is measured 12 feet up from the bottom of the track surface.

            Bristol Motor Speedway (temporary track)
            .53 miles @ 13.860, or 137.66 (average MPH)
            Belleville High Banks
            .51 miles @ 14.321, or 128.20 (average MPH)
            Knoxville Raceway
            .50 miles @ 14.407, or 124.94 (average MPH)
            Volusia Raceway Park
            .43 miles @ 12.569, or 123.16 (average MPH)
            Eldora Speedway
            .43 miles @ 12.707, or 121.94 (average MPH)
            Williams Grove
            .53 miles @ 16.140, or 118.22 (average MPH)
            Yeah, take that!!!!
