  • New track in Plant City maybe

My dad, may open up a track in Plant City soon, and It will be a road course with 7 turns, 4 90 degree turns, 1 hairpin, and 2 turns in about 30 degrees. This is just an estimate, we are making the turns 3 cars wide, but we dont know how big the turns should be, if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know what you suggest me doing, thanks.

I suggest that you and Dad keep your money in the bank. There are many road courses readily available in Fl as we speak. Very active BTW... What is your motive or idea? Why do you feel another road course is needed? You left out many things...distance, who's designing it, etc.

BTW, Tunabreath will say yes to anything...you know... six drinks and it's closing time...

I'm trying to be nice, but you are making it rather difficult. Would you rather be nice or exchange insults ?

The correct apex on road course is...what it is...you won't create 2 wide racing in corners on a road course...look at Sebring for an example.

Correct, one for bashing bashers and one for posting in the classified sections. Good luck with your racing plans.

Dont worry about it EZ. This guy has never said anything positive in his life, never once. He doesn't even have respect enough for Jack to stop starting crap.
i can only hope someday I will meet him, now that I know who he is.

Dont pay any attention on negative bashers! Keep that positive attitude, you will be fine! I wonder why tyey're building a Wal- mart in Nes Smyrna? There's already one there, another Super Centerb8 miles away? MMM

Well i lived ti the Tampa aera for a few years and the county tried to get rid of all tracks in the aera...To much noise. the made rules that ae imposible to meet.(68db) There was a track on state ground and they killed it also.
Better try to get a letter from the epc in hillsbrough co first. If you dont work that out first you are wasting a lot of time on things that wont mater anyway.

                            No bones about it!!

Like Don said, if you can get the permits, a road course in the center of the state isn't a bad idea. The SCCA and NASA would love a place that is inexpensive to rent, as would a lot of racing teams that can't afford Daytona or Sebring or PBIR -- they pretty much have to go to Robeling Road. Even the kart track in Ocala gets some use, but it's too small for any serious testing. "Country Club" tracks like the one just south of Fort Worth seem to be working -- sell memberships to rich guys, which includes on-site garage space for their collector cars. Really nothing like that in Florida.
