Wanted send a big thanks to Desoto for being very friendly and helpful. Everyone I met was thanking me for coming. I will be back soon as I can!

Very nice place as well. Looks to be well maintained and updated. Front grandstand and concession area is beautiful. Very nice setup.

Only problem that I had was my car is geared for Auburndale. Didn't know that Desoto was THAT much bigger. Will get another gear and go back! Very fast track with lots of room for racin'. And the bumps weren't as bad as people make them out to be... From the way people talked about it, it was going to jar my teeth out. But not at all. Of course, it's not as smooth as ice..

All in all, I had a good time, despite the rain delay, I will be back with friends.

I have run a 6.20 and a 6.00 there and I don't remember any bumps either. But I also don't remember ALOT of things these days.

I talked to a few racers and they were saying mid to high 500's. I have a crate motor so I really don't want to turn it very high.

I was doing 5500 coming off the corners with a 633!!

That is what worked for us. 100 pts will get you where you need to be. There are some nice people at Desoto and its a shame that the bad so heavily out weighs the good. Its a fun place to visit. Its a rough track to race on, but the facilities are FIRST class. With some changes that track would be packed out.
