Great news!!! If you are a TBARA fan, and have never seen them race there, it is worth the drive, this is a great track to see one of their events at.

The drive from Palm Harbor... about 110 miles round trip at 20mpg @ 3.55 gal cost= $20.00 gas plus getting in...

The cost to watch is quite high...not just tbara but all racing...

$35.00 for one guy??? Thats alot of money...

          Why is this a problem???

The talk about admission prices is one thing...the total cost to a fan is another.

What is your problem dude ?, it seems like you whine about everything. I personally think $15.00 for admission is a great price to see the best Sprint Car show in Florida. Next you will be figuring in the depreciation, and wear and tear on your vehicle in the total cost of the trip. Heaven forbid if you have to buy food and something to drink too. My suggestion, Stay Home.

Your poor arse would not go if it was $5. Shut up already.

If you had a friend you could split the gas and see some of the best racing in the state.

                    The point is...

This is one of the inherent problems with Desoto Speedway to attract fans...it's in the middle of nowhere. With today's gas costs and a long distance to drive, many fans, except the diehards, will think twice about attending. These days it's not just about the cost of the ticket. A track needs more than the diehard fans to survive...they need that fringe, that marginal fan. Plus where is this being promoted to those fans? There certainly isn't much time to promote the first date. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over...and expecting different results.

Certain idiots here will jump to a conclusion about my post...and then comes the usual ridicule without a logical thought process...sometimes you should think before you speak...you will give the appearance of having a functioning brain.

Maybe the track should give you travel allowance!!!!

I agree! If he goes he'll just bitch about something anyhow. Probably the hot dog or soap in the bathroom.

Hey Legend, I'm not sure which one of us IDIOTS your referring to, i guess because you feel you are above us all, we are all idiots. The way i look at it is, i will drive 2 - 2 1/2 hours on any given Saturday night to see a good show, and not even consider the cost, but that me, it's all about the SHOW. Last week i drove 2 1/2 hours to Volusia from Tampa just to watch Buzzie run his modified.

as far as your comment about a functioning brain. i will have a IQ contest with you anytine.

THis should be one of the biggest shows of the year!!!! No matter what anyone says folks travel to see the TBARA! It is not for the regular fan that goes to the track around the corner...it is a bonus for them. Look for DeSoto to be packed! They have not ran in 2011 and this is the first time..GOOD MOVE JOHN

FYI..The track is only 9 miles east of I-75 exit 220...
