Yeah, he had a drug problem. But he also had a near fatal USAC sprint car accident last summer and is now paralyzed. I've been following his progress on facebook and it's pretty inspirational. He made his first public appearance after the sprint wreck, at Ocala in February. It was neat watching him interact with his fellow drivers. It really made me a USAC fan because they all seemed like a big family there. I'm sorry to see the way drugs affected his life but I am inspired by his attitude and drive now. He also has a very supportive family and girlfriend. I think it's possible he may someday escape the confines of the wheel chair.
