At that point I was ready to further my racing career and move into a full size stock car (pro truck). I sold every champ kart and champ kart part that i had to buy the engine for my race truck. My entire racing campaign is funded by ME alone. My father, Jeff Leserra, helps me out when he can but most of the work is done by me and my two friends Cody Keeler and Barry Bartlett III.

My short term goals in racing is to continue winning races in a pro truck and eventually be a winning/competitve driver in a super late model. As far as my long term goals; if I could make a decent living as a professional race car driver, I would be extrememly happy, regardless of what series or type of car it is. If not as a driver, atleast have a career involved with motorsports.
My father raced at palm beach speedway and Hialeah speedway from 1979 to 1990. The main thing he taught me is that you will only get out of racing what you will put in it. I have put alot of time and money (coming from a poor college student, haha) into my racing career. Hopefully the hard working aspect of race car drivers is STILL out there somewhere

Thank you for reading my short bio, and thanks to Boneman for the plug in, it really means alot to me.

Look for the number 121 Pro Truck

    Thank you,

    Andy Leserra

Let's see doing it out of his pocket wow how many young racers now days can say that. Not many I would guess.

I'm Josh Calvert. I'm 20 and am in my 7th year racing. I started in 4-cylinders and have raced Street/Super stock, Fastrucks, and am now currently racing in Sportsman. I have been around racing my whole life going and helping friends. I am a first generation circle track racer I guess you could say since my dad and grandfather were both into drag racing. I've learned so much and could sit here for days thanking people who have helped me. Just to name some would be; My parents and grandparents first and foremost for always being behind me, everyone at TCS Racing, Scooter Sanders, Brian Richardson, Kent Mcclean, George Richardson, John Garrett, and Bill Vandevender (Outlaw Signs and Graphics) for helping me out some and the awesome graphics he always does. I've met some nice people that I have become friends with and I'm sure there are some that don't like me. But that's just life. What a lot of people don't know is my racing is and has been funded by me. I worked all the time when I was in school to have money to go race. I pay for everything the car needs, tires, fuel, entry for myself and crew. It has been harder to have extra money for racing since I've been out of school to go race, but when I do have it, I'm at the track. I do all of my own work on the car; fabricating, welding, bodywork, setup, about the only thing I don't do by myself is scaling the car and go to the track. I enjoy everything about building and working on racecars just as much as I do driving them. I think most drivers have dreams about making it big, but for me it's really just a hobby. My car wasn't going to be back together for the first couple races this year, so John Garrett was generously letting me drive his. The car was decent, just always ended up having some kind of trouble in the feature. And I will say this, boy are those things a handful with no power steering for 35 laps. We were planning on running a full schedule at Punta Gorda this year, and try to make a couple races at other tracks, but those plans have changed since getting caught up in someone elses wreck in his car a couple months ago. I should have both cars back together fairly soon, and I will be back in mine at the end of next month. Although the last couple years have been very tough and I don't have anything to show for them except a lot less money, and a ton of bent and broken parts, I have still had a ton of fun and I'll keep looking towards the future and preparing for the next race. Because that is what some people forget to remember that this is about, FUN. Well, that was just a little bit about me. See everyone at the track!

I would like to talk about one of the great talents in the young guys.....Third generation driver, Chris Gimmler. Chris is the son of sprint car driver, and former TQ Midget driver, Mark Gimmler. His uncle is former TQ Midget, Midget and sprint car driver Gary Gimmler. His Grandfather was a Midget and TQ Midget driver also. At the age of 17, Chris first got into a TQ midget in 2010. He had NEVER driven ANTHING before, and was smart and fast from the word GO! Chris won the 2010 Rookie of the Year Honors with the FMARA and finished respectfully in the final points standings. Much like his father, Chris is very quiet and smooth on the track. In 2011, Chris won his first career feature in the FMARA at PGS. Chris is a front runner every week and very clean as a driver. I foresee alot of wins in the future for Chris. If and when he makes the transition to the sprint cars.....watch out! With the "dream team" of support and coaching of Dad and uncle Gary, this young man could be one of the next faces to watch in Sprint cars and midgets. Good luck in the future Chris, I'm a big fan!
If you would like to see Chris Gimmler race.........keep an eye on www.fltqmidgets,com for all racing info, or come to the next TQ Midget(FMARA) race!

Wanted to keep this thread going... We raced at Desoto Speedway this past weekend in the Open Wheel Modifieds. After starting 5th, we quickly got up to 2nd with Jefferson leading. We were catching Jefferson a little, but he blew his motor just after halfway. I would've rather raced with him for the win, but that's a part of racing. Ralph Bowman raced us hard for the lead on the restart and Pat Nanney dived to the inside and got by us for the lead. But we were able to get back by Pat on the outside and pull away for the final 5 laps to win. It was really cool cause it was my birthday as well on Saturday, always fun to win on your birthday. We're also tied for the points lead at Desoto with Mike Birk Jr.

I'd like to say thanks to my Dad, Chris, and Rich for all the work they do on the car to have it ready to race on Saturdays. Thanks to my mom, sister, my whole family, the Ostrovskis family, the Danielson family, the Hoffman family, the Barr family, and everyone else for all the support and help they give me. Thanks to Rick Anges for all the good things he says about me. Thanks to Desoto and their staff for giving us the opportunity to race there, I love racing at that track. And thanks to all the fans that come to the track and help support local short track racing.

                  Thankyou,
                  Dalton Baldwin

My name is Brooke Storer and I am 13 years old. I race in the Rookie Truck class at Desoto Speedway driving for Dennis Colletti in the #4b. I have been driving a Micro-Sprint on dirt this year also. I have been racing for 5 years now I started when I was 8 years old in go-karts at Auburndale Speedway winning my first championship in the Rookie class. I then started racing at Dirt Devils Speedway and won the championship the next 4 years in a row. I have over 85 feature wins in the karts and 1 feature win in the Truck division. My goal is to race Super Late Models by the time I am 16 and run Nascar by 18. If I could I would race 7 days a week I enjoy working on the race cars and karts and learning about them I am always out in the race shop with my Dad he has taught me everything I know about racing. I guess you can say I am not your average teenage girl. I would like to also thank Mr. Colletti for giving me this chance of a lifetime you have made me one happy person and I hope to keep representing you and your company HH Management as best as I can. Thanks also to Chapin and Lewis Automotive for the dedication and sponsorship on the truck this year.
