CAR
1. Any 1965 or newer American sedan with minimum 101" wheelbase allowed. Minimum weight 3200 lbs, after race-with driver. Leaf spring cars must weigh minimum 3300 lbs, after race-with driver. Maximum 54% left side weight at all times.
BODY
1. Cars must be strictly stock for year, make, and model.
2. All flammable interior pieces must be removed. No cutting of any metal interior panels allowed.
3. Doors may be gutted to allow for roll cage only. Minimum of (4) bars on driver's side, and (3) bars on passenger side.
4. All exterior trim must be removed.
5. Inner front fender panels may be removed.
6. Hood must have minimum (2) hood pins in front, and stock hinges in rear. No holes in hood. Hood must retain stock configuration (no hood scoops).
7. Complete floor and firewall must be retained.
8. Fenders may be trimmed for tire clearance.
9. All side and rear glass must be removed. All window posts must remain as manufactured and in stock location. No side windows of any kind.
10. Factory front windshield must be used, or may be replaced with minimum 1/8" Lexan with support braces.
11. Stock front grill plastic must be removed. Aftermarket nose piece may be used to replace stock front grill. Nose piece must fit over stock bumper.
12. All cars must have a 4" number on top right(pass. side) of windshield, for line up purposes. Door and roof numbers should be clearly visible to scorers.
CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION
1. OEM suspension front and rear for year, make, and model.
2. Camber shims may be added, but must utilize factory length control arm bolts. Strut cars may slot upper mounts for camber adjustment.
ENGINE
1. Stock for make and model. GM-350, Mopar-360, Ford-351Maximum cubic inches. Maximum overbore is .060
2. Engines must remain strictly stock as produced by manufacturer. No modifications of any kind, unless otherwise noted in rules.
3. All cylinder head combustion chambers may not be smaller than 72 cc. No high compression heads allowed.
4. Absolutely NO grinding of any engine components.
5. Stock 2 or 4 barrel intake manifolds only.
6. Any factory stock 2 or 4 barrel carburetor allowed. May NOT be altered in any way. No plastic or glass fuel filters. Unaltered box stock Holley replacement 500 cfm 2 barrel (PN #4412) permitted, with maximum one-inch manifold adapter.
7. Screw in studs and poly locks permitted. Stock rocker arms and rocker arm ratio only.
8. Aftermarket valve covers with breather(s) on driver's side permitted.
9. Stock replacement flat top or OEM flat top piston only.
10. 3" tall x 14" round maximum paper air cleaner permitted. No air boxes.
11. All internal components not to exceed factory OEM specifications.
DRIVE TRAIN
1. Rear end must be stock for make and model of car. Welded rear, stock posi traction, or mini spool permitted. No torque sensing rear differentials allowed.
2. Stock automatic transmission with all working gears only. Factory type transmission mount only.
3. Standard transmission permitted but must add 100 lbs. Stock flywheel and OEM style clutch only. Blow proof bell housing required.
4. Engine must mount in stock location and utilize factory engine mounts.
EXHAUST
1. Stock OEM manifolds only. No center dump exhaust manifolds.
2. Exhaust pipe must exit to side of car and behind driver.
3. Maximum exhaust diameter = 2-1/2 inches
FUEL SYSTEM
1. Maximum 22 gallon fuel cell mandatory. Trunk floor may be removed to install fuel cell. Fuel cell must be in approved steel container and centered between the frame rails.
2. Fuel cell tip over/flapper valve required.
3. Minimum 8" ground clearance at all times.
4. Protection bar behind fuel cell required (Minimum 1-1/2" x .095" roll cage tubing).
5. Minimum of (2) 1/8" thick x 1" wide steel straps surrounding entire fuel cell, located to left and right side of gas filler, is required.
6. Fuel cell must be bolted securely (No rivets or screws).
BRAKES
1. Stock OEM 4 wheel working brakes only. No brake bias devices of any kind.
WHEELS AND TIRES
1. 8" width maximum steel wheels only. Racing wheels recommended.
2. Minimum 7/16" wheel studs with 1" lug nuts on all four corners.
3. Tires must be DOT radials. Minimum 200 treadwear. No recaps.
4. Any wheel offset permitted.
SAFETY
1. Bronson Speedway officials reserve the right to inspect any car at any time. All cars must have an initial safety inspection prior to competition.
2. All required safety equipment and apparel must be utilized any time the car is on the race track:
A) Racing helmet with minimum of Snell 95 rating.
B) Neck collar or Head And Neck System highly recommended.
C) SFI approved Fire Suit. No holes or torn suits will be permitted.
D) Fire resistant racing gloves only. No mechanics gloves allowed.
E) Fire resistant racing shoes.
F) Fire resistant underwear and socks highly recommended.
3. A minimum 4 point roll cage made of steel tubing(DOM recommended), minimum of 1-1/2" outside diameter and minimum .095 inch wall thickness. No square tubing or galvanized pipe will be permitted. Absolutely NO exceptions. Roll bar padding required on all bars within reach of driver.
4. An engine kill switch required which must be accessible by both the driver and from outside the car. Kill switch must be highlighted with bright orange paint or vinyl, and be clearly marked "ON - OFF".
5. All cars must have a fire extinguisher (minimum 2 pounds) securely fastened within reach of driver. The mounting must be in such a way that the driver can quickly remove extinguisher from its mount. Approved for Racing Halon system may be used in place of extinguisher.
6. A quick release 5-point racing harness with 3" belts, dated 2005 or newer, required in all vehicles. All belt installation must be approved by Bronson Speedway safety officials. Sternum belt allowed. Belts must be utilized any time vehicle is on race track. Racing harness must be attached to roll cage with minimum 1/2" bolts.
7. Window nets are required on the driver's side of the car and must be securely fastened. Nets must latch at the top and be operational from inside and outside the car.
8. Aluminum racing seat mandatory.
9. Drive shaft must be painted white. Drive shaft loops required on both front and rear of drive shaft. Loops should be made of 1" wide x 1/4" thick steel, and be within 12" of front and rear universal joint. Must be able to catch drive shaft in event of shaft failure. No chains will be permitted as loops.
10. Battery shall be secured to frame of car and must be encased in spill proof container.
11. Lead ballast only. Must be painted white, marked with car #, and secured to frame of vehicle with minimum (2) 1/2" bolts. 50 pound maximum per block.
12. Throttle toe strap and solid throttle linkage with (2) return springs required.
13. All cars must have front and rear tow hooks. Hooks must be strong enough to support weight of vehicle when towed.
14. All cars must have a radiator overflow container. Water is only acceptable coolant.
