Acted half as bad as Tony Stewart did Sun there would be 50 posts on here shouting for nhim to be banned from racing, ESPECIALLY when he said Vickers was blocking him and he was gonna keed "dumping" people that blocked him for the rest of his career. It was obvious Vickers wasnt blocking him. Hitting reporters, "dumping" anyone he feels like, he better be careful, theres plenty there can boot his butt too!

I think Tony was wrong and he probably knows it now. But, he admitted he did it and he expected to get retaliated against. He knew it was going to happen and he didn't cry about it. I'll bet it's all over now. It should be and that's what use to happen before the politically correct days. Of course it use to happen in the pits then also, but Nascar isn't allowing that yet I guess. I know you like road courses but that has to be the most boring racing in the world to watch. I use to live fairly close to Watkins Glen and just wouldn't go there. Went once and you watch the cars go by and then wait over a minute for them to come back around and go by again. Personally, I think it's an exciting type of racing to participate in, but terrible to watch. I agree Winger, I know in person it stinks to watch but on TV you only see a small part of any race anyhow. To me it just takes a lot of skill to run a road race. When someone spins someone else out is one thing, but when he drives over someone with a bunch of cars all around you, that's another. How many others got wrecked because of his ignorance? Jr was one, not that he's any different than anyone else. Stewarts been a lot better lately but just like Gordon he really loses his head occasionally and no one minds. Oh well, hopefully he learned from it. He definitely learned Vickers isn't scared of him.Comment

I don't respect TS for those reasons and others...(don't forget he tried to kill Kenseth during the Daytona 500 several years ago). TS has always acted like a bully. Makes for good Monday morning reading but not my style of racing.Originally posted by tunaman View Post

Kyle drives the wheels off the car and he's always moving to the front, period. I watched him win his first race at Daytona (ARCA) several years ago as a rookie for Hendrick and after that one race I told my GF, that's kids got it and will be a winner.
I think folks dislike for him was pre-conceived a bit when he came on, because of Kurt. Also he's like of a geeky looking guy and doesn't have the "look" of a model driver. It seems like he's grown a couple of inches and filled out some so that image my be impoving.

I agree with everything you say but I still say the biggest reason most don't like him is because right out of the shoot he started beating his replacement, Earnhardt. Everyone thought Earnhardt was going to start winning championships immediately and then this punk kid started beating him almost immediately. My wife has a friend that loves Earnhardt and hates Kyle, which is almost always the way. I asked her, forget Earnhardt, why do you hate Kyle, she basically couldn't answer. Something that amazes me is the TS caused wreck also took out Earnhardt and no one said a word, go figure! The other 6-7 that got tank out by "smokes" temper need to have a real personal conversation with him out behind the haulers!Comment

BTW, since Rowdy was mentioned...
There is a photo on yahoo from Sonoma where Kyle came up to Harvick after the race and shook his hand. Reportedly said "good race".
