Northeast Late Model/Modified driver Joe Johnson lost his battle w/cancer over the weekend.He is the brother of the lengendary "Jumpin" Jack Johnson of Duanesburg,NY.....

Joe never had the success that Jack did, but was a pretty good shoe himself. I believe he pulled out a couple of wins at Fonda, which is no easy feat, considering he raced against Jack, Lou Lazzaro, CD Coville, Kenny Shoemaker, Andy Romano, Harry Peek, Butch Jelley, Ray Dalmata, and 30-40 others every week. Fonda was/is one tough place to win. Nobody lucks into a win there...
