This year there is a minumum amount of entries to guatantee the 1 million dollar purse. I think it's 400 total entries will guarantee a 250,000.00 purse and 700 entries to guarantee a 1 million dollar purse. We were there last year, and if memory serves me correct, they didn't even get anywhere close to that number.

Big Block. I had to look on here to see if you were the first one complaining. LOL. In the 8-10 years I have known you I can only remember a couple of times you were complaining. I didn't think it was you but there has been a lot of complaining on here lately.

You are right. I remember only about 350 entries combined in all of the classes last year. Did you guys run Masters? Are you guys going again this year? You think we could squeeze into one to help out the entry count???

P.S. The little lady said hi and a big hug to ya. See ya soon my brother.

Thanks Andrew. Not really a complaint, just saying the rules for this year are very different from last year. When we ran last year, we ran the Young Lions division, so we weren't eligible for the 250k to win race. I think they thought they would get a lot more interest than they did. Almost every business for 10 miles around the track had free tickets to go see the race and the stands were nearly empty. It was a great experience and if we still had our Legends car stuff, I'm sure we would go this year too. Say hi to the missus and say hi to Cruzer too. See ya's at the track soon I hope!

Interest in the racing at CMS has really dropped the past couple of years... The economy and high gas prices have a lot to do with it plus the fact so much equipment gets torn up there... I noticed the fields for the first night of the Summer Shootout were really low compared to previous years... Not even enough Masters drivers for a full field... I remember when the B Mains during the Shootout were like A Mains anywhere else...

Had a chance during Speedweeks this year, to meet last years winner, Daniel Hemric. Nice kid, with a noticeable amount of talent. His very limited time in full-size racecars caught the attention of Jeff Fultz and Curtis Venable of the Wear-Crete SLM team, who has run him in their equipment a few times now.

Together, they have been quick learners. They managed to pull out a World Series win during February.
