Sooooo....this whole "tunaman" thing got me to thinking...

Is it really worth getting *that* upset about something "said" on a message board? Hell, I'm not even in the same *state* any more. I at least use my real name; most of us on here *know* everyone else's real name. I *never* said anything derogatory *to* or *about* tunaman; the stuff I *did* pick on was some of the spelling - and his choice of Sprint Cup drivers. But not once did I ever call him any names (well, other than maybe "tunafish", that I can think of), never called him any "bad names", never cussed him out (like he's done to me via PM) or anything...so not sure what the deal is. There's no need, in my opinion, to get *that* upset over some of this stuff. I only pick on Kyle Busch - tunaman's driver - because of his little "me, me, me" attitude, not his driving ability. He's a HELLUVA driver. Never said I was "perfect", either; hell, I'm far from it. I've made *plenty* of mistakes in life. I'm not a "racing know-it-all", either, as tuna thinks I am. I may be *pretty* knowledgeable about it, but far from "knowing it all". I'm just a *long-time* racing fan, former crew member on my dad's car (have even driven it once or twice), been to quite a few different states (and race tracks in those states); I've even been to a few fairly-recent NASCAR races at a couple of different tracks.

One thing we can both (or all) agree on: we're both - or rather, *all* - race *fans*. We go to the races to see a *show*; not three cars play "follow the leader". Not go and see 15 people in the grandstands. I like to see full fields of cars. When I was still down there, I think the last race I went to at New Smyrna was the Governor's Cup last November - and was excited to see so many *out-of-state* cars again at the 200.

Do I pine for the "good ol' days" of REAL short track racing? Sure I do. Will those days ever come back? I highly doubt it. Racing won't ever be the same, especially "stock car" racing. There's no such thing any more in my book. Kids are takin' over the sport, foreign cars are taking over the sport, and it's a fact that I - or we - have to live with. I don't have to like it...LMAO...but it's still what's happening today.

So...in short...I guess what I'm getting at here is, is that there's no need for the "drama". I want to publicly apologize to the tunaman. No more name-calling on either side, no more "f*** you" PM's (and no, it wasn't from me....but rather *to* me); just some good ol' heated debating is all that's needed.

    Truce?

Jimmy, I have no idea what you posted but the title,"save the drama"??? You should look at all the threads you started that lead to all kinds of "drama" as you call it. You love drama as much as the next guy. Why don't you go screw with Childress???

Like I say, I have no idea WHAT the professor said, hes on my blocked list. Casteel, I guarantee if I said the crap to you he has said about me you get "disgruntled". Like I said, I can see nothing he posts and have no interest in seeing it. He needs to let it drop. I will not respond to this thread again, I apologize to anyone I may of offended. I am done with this!!

If you could read it, you would have noticed that he was trying to bury the hatchet with you. I found your response ironic, as I am sure you would if you could see it.

It took a lot of courage for someone to write a letter/post such as that.

Perhaps acceptance of such an apology would be something to think about...

I am new here and I don't know what went on, but holding on to bad feelings only hurts the one that's holding them, not the other.

Gotta stick up for tunaman on this. Those two have been going at it for a while. I dont know who started it and don't care. The man got tired of the constant bickering and placed him on his ignore list. The thread started with yo momma. Why should tunaman even consider it as a truce since he can't see what was written. I do enjoy their going back and forth, it makes for good reading. Some of us come on here to enjoy conversations, it's like when the cb radio came out. Everyone wanted to talk but did not have to know who they were talking too. Like I've said a thousand times, it ain't real smart to use your real name unless everyone does. Once I stood 3 feet behind someone at a racetrack that was giving me a hard time on here. I knew him but he did not know me. Good thing I am not a bad guy, he could have been sucker punched. There are some bad people out there, and you can bet they don't use their real name.

I will stick with tuna, he ended the bickering. I think it was a good move on his part. Where it goes from here is up to him.

Forgot to mention that it was cool for Jimmy to apologize, but it could have been done without some more finger pointing. Anyway, it was still a good gesture. Only a real man can apologize. Accepting an apology is sometimes difficult, but it sure makes life much easier.

                        Hey EZ....

C'mon man.....are you really that gullible? Do you really actually think that this Tuna blowhard "blocked" Jimmy's posts from appearing on his computer?

                        Gimme a break.

I think....no...I KNOW he lives to see his name up on the board. 1220 posts and counting. Maybe he should move to Punta Gorda.

                        Here's some food for thought:

"The man got tired of the constant bickering and placed him on his ignore list. The thread started with yo momma. Why should tunaman even consider it as a truce since he can't see what was written."

Okay....if he's on his ignore list, how does he even see that Jimmy started a thread? And even if he did see just the title...what, besides his giant, over-inflated ego, makes him so sure it was directed at him? Hmmm?

"Like I say, I have no idea WHAT the professor said, hes on my blocked list."

"Blocked list"....that's too freakin' funny. No idea what he said? Then STFU. Pretty simple concept, really.

"I will not respond to this thread again, I apologize to anyone I may of offended. I am done with this!!"

                        followed immediately by:

"bubba, you can freeze and title anything you like. Notice I didnt start this thread did I?"

Thanks for for the apology, Mr. Tunawix, as I am someone who is constantly offended by your innate inability to tell the truth or to stand by your word. If you're gonna make wussboy statements like that, then at least wait an hour or two before you go back on your word. I mean, how can anyone ever take you at your word again? (as if anybody ever did before this thread)

Hopefully, I am on his "Blocked" list also and Tunadork won't even see this....or feel the need to respond 27 times......

                        Riiigghht.

I don't even know how it all started, either, really; and I'm pretty sure I never told the tunaman to "f*** off", either publicly or in PM's. I don't see any finger-pointing in my original post here, either; I picked on his spelling, and I'll always take a shot at Kyle Busch

                              tunaman wrote:

Like I've stated, I don't think I've ever personally "attacked" tunaman; if I did, I sure would like to know when I did (can someone - *anyone* - point me to those posts?) and what *I* said that was "attacking" him personally.

                              tunaman also wrote:

Again, what threads did *I* start that led to "all kinds of drama"? Sure, I pick on Kyle Busch (sorry if he's *anyone's* favorite driver...LOL), but what exactly did I say on here that *personally* "attacked" tunaman? I'd like to know myself, so I can *clear things up*.

*This* thread didn't start with "yo' momma"; it started with "Save the drama". Sure, this kind of stuff makes for interesting conversation... ...but, the "drama" (as tunaman and I called it...) needs to...I don't know...be a little more "under control", I guess.

Again, there's no need for name-calling, cussing someone out via PM for no reason, etc. And again, I apologize for whatever it was I did. I'm *not* a "professor" of anything; I'm not a "know-it-all", and my name isn't "McKinkley".
