I bet you haven't seen anything like this for a while! Long lost Florida City Speedway roars back to life with the TQ midgets, early mini stocks and a quick look around the pits. Thanks to the wonder of "YouTube", we can get a glance at a track that has been closed since 1976.
Agreed, the quality is not good. This footage was originally shot on a 8mm movie camera sometime in the late 1960's. It was converted to VHS tape by Al Brooks Jr, the son of a Florida City racer. Thanks to my daughter, it is now converted to digital format for everyone to see.
The #11 TQ is S. Florida legend Brady Mason. This was filmed before the TQ's ran cages. When the cages appeared, so did wings, and the cars got even faster.
