  • Chad Knaus/network fines?

Anybody else catch the slip up played on air when JJ blew up? Do the networks not use a time delay with a dump button? I use to listen to the scanners several years ago and would here all kinds of colorful language but it was never broadcast live.

Someone said something in one of the 2 races yesterday. It was a pit crew member possibly. Anyway the annoucer said he was sorry for that persons remark as soon as it happened.

        What was said?

There was no way I was gonna watch a 600 mile race! I actually watched paint dry. Really(painted the family room)!

There shouldn't be a single race over 400 miles. Damn, another fuel mileage race, wish something could be done about that but I don't know what.

Yeah, I heard Chad. As far as I'm concerned, it was a natural reaction, and NO action should be taken. billy

Yep, I agree. It was totally natural and spontaneous. If anyone should be in hot water, it's the tv director. The smart thing for the announcer to have done would have been to ignore it. With his apology, he pointed out and verified it was said. When I heard it, I thought to myself I must have misunderstood, then the apology came and I realized I had heard it correctly.
I'd rather watch Nascar than the paint dry but that's only because I don't like to paint. The last lap was interesting though.

I skipped the first 500 miles, not much else was on so I watched the last part. Great finish, the win was up for grabs. Kyle Busch wrecking made it even better.

I think over the scanners the crew should be able to say whatever they want. I personally hope Knaus isn't fined but it wouldn't surprise me with the politically correct society that we live in.

They shouldn't fine him, people choose to liisten to the scanner and the only reason nascar has them is for safty. When your pissed off it is kind of hard to control it and it gives him one more thing to think about when he already has alot of things going on. I dont think it is bad that he cussed it could of been worse, I have been in the pits when people have come in yelling having everyother word a cuss word.
