  • What track will be the most patriotic?

Tonight I want to go where the National Anthem will be the loudest, where the crowd will be the proudest and where the track provides a little something extra for this very patriotic day. Any suggestions? No bashing necessary, I just want to know if any tracks have anything special planned for Memorial Day.

Last Memorial Day, I was very happy to win, and to have my car carry a decoration for the holiday.

Good job on the car display and the win last year. As most people know, I display the "POW-MIA' emblem on the front of my car and both sides of the trailer...Year round. Hope the tracks have something special for tonight.

Load your kids up and head for punta Gorda Rex. I'll have Rob turn the PA up real loud for you and you'll see some heads up racing for $10. You can't beat that with a stick... Bob...

I posed this same question in my "Random Thoughts" thread.

No track seems to run any "holiday specials" any more. St. Pete and Tampa used to run extended-distance Late Model features (I know St. Pete had a Memorial Day 100-lapper for a long time). There's not much on the 4th of July or Labor Day weekends any more, either.

I THINK NSS used to have a good fireworks display on the 4th.
