if I had no interest I wouldnt be on here. Looks like an improvement in car count at OSW, I'm glad. Didn't get a chancee to look at NSS yet, hope it was better. I just didn't understand running E-Mods and the big mods the same nite as some of them run the same car just differant motors. Kinda hard to change motors at the track with everything being so hot nand all. But there again, as I've learned before I don't have to understand. I have heard you can almost put a 4 barrell carb on an E-Mod engine and almost run o'k at Orlando but at NSS you get blown away on both sides down long the straight away.

Most of the mods ran both races. The only change I saw was from the 4 barrell to the 2. But the intakes were not changed. They added 25 lb to me for runnin a Performer 2101 'stock' type intake. Just silly I think. I couldn't keep up with the rules legal motor in my car...overheated it trying though. Had to pull in on lap 42 after getting lapped....

        No One

will be able to take an E-mod LEGAL motor and keep up with a built motor. you will just be making laps....

sounds right to me, but a competitor i know said he can make a decent showing at OSW in his mod with hie E-Mod motor with 4 barrell carb. But at NSS he gets passed both sides going down the straight away. Ocala, let me get this straight, you had some kind of intake not legal for E-Mod but still under power for the big mod and they added weight? But basically the mods have no engine rule??? I'm asking, not bashing, just courious, I don't know. Or am I missing something?

The rules state that an e-mod has to run a Super Stock motor with a stock cast iron intake. Or you can put a performer 2101 on it, but have to add 25 lbs. I really don't care about that, but when a full mod changes their carb after the race and comes out as an emod with a 2 barrell.....what about the rest of the motor?? A car pitted close to me pulled off the 4 barrell and put a 2 barrell on his 'high rise' intake and ran the e mod race...???
The other 25 lb added to my car was for roller rockers instead of stock stamped rockers required in the SS motor. Didn't see rockers changed in the full mods either..I sure as hell would't run 'stock' rockers in a full mod motor..JMO
OK...start bashing me, but I'm not stressing my little 9:1 motor trying to keep up with a big motor for a full mod.. I like this class and that was only my 4th race in it. First at NSS.... Headed back to LCS for less drama...

PS Maybe other tracks should think about an emod class with a basic Sportsman motor like mine. Hyd cam,9:1 double eyebrow flat pistons. Open chamber SR heads or such....comments??
