Love Bug 500

Back at Hialeah, we used to run the "Texas Chain Race". This was where two cars were chained together at the back bumper (like Love Bugs) to form a team. One car would pull, and the other had to back up. I was in a few of these, and I can attest that were wild and entertaining, especially when we stopped and changed directions.

It seems like this would be a good week for some track to run a Love Bug Derby. We've been plagued with the damn things for weeks, so we might as well quit complaining and have a little fun.

Here is a twist: any couples who show up at the front gate, and who are joined at the pelvis, get in for half price! Ok, so it can be a little hard to walk, but they will figure out something.

I have to concur with the gentleman on FFS, we already had round one at Daytona and Talledega. Round two will be equally boring except for the last lap or two. Thats a long time to sit arojund and wait for the race to start. The only consolation I can see is that on TV ther likely wont be any ads.

Yeah, and if you tape it you can fastforward the boring parts.

Love bugs are out there,just not in Miami .
"Texas Chain Race" was entertaning ,I also liked "The Crazy Trains fig 8" I saw out west were three cars were chained together,Loco lead car had driver ,power and no brakes,box car center no driver or motor and tail car had a driver with brakes but no power.
