Congratulations to Larry Milby for winning the most recent round of High Performance Karting at Walt Disney World Speedway! Larry is a Motocross rider at the Lights, Camera, Action Stuntshow here at Disney. We are considering a ban on moto style helmets due to the obvious aero advantage(Just Kidding). Thanks to Randy Froehlich and friends for coming out also.
Starting June 8th, we will move the event to Weds, and run on every 2nd and 4th Weds each month. Check out the details below, the price is now less if you preregister, so look for the next event to be even better. Thanks!
On June 8th and 22nd the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Walt Disney World® SPEEDWAY their June bi-monthly High Performance Karting Shootouts! That’s right, 2 in one month!
Get behind the wheel of our 9-horsepower High Performance Karts and see if you have what it takes to master our karting track at speeds reaching 40mph! Drivers will compete in a bracket format, advancing through each round until the Champion is determined from the Main Event Feature.
$50 Per Person, inclusive of tax if reservation is purchased 1 day prior to event. $60 per person, inclusive of tax day of event.
Drivers must be 16 years or older. Restrictions Apply Drivers will receive a Safety/Instructional Briefing, and be fitted with a Driving Suit and Helmet prior to driving. Drivers may wear long sleeve shirt and pants instead of driving suit.
Each Driver will compete in a minimum of:
• 1 - Practice/Qualifying Session
• 2 – Heat Races
Number of Heats will be adjusted based on number of Drivers.
Winner will receive a Rookie Experience from Richard Petty Driving Experience!
Call 1-800-BE-PETTY for reservation today. Competition is limited to 45 participants. Racing will start promptly at 6:30pm. Please arrive by 6:00pm to register.
Participants are allowed to bring their own closed faced helmets subject to inspection by Richard Petty Driving Experience staff.
