A big thank you to Racin' Jason Beckner for the good time at Hendry County Speedway on Saturday night. We made our first appearance at the track in ages and Jason invited me up to the booth to chat a bit and it was enjoyable. Was my first time on the mic since I was a fill in announcer there one night when promoter Ken Kenny took his regular guy out of town for a late model show in August 2009.

Was great to see so many old friends from Hialeah Speedway and as an added bonus three former regulars from "World Famous" copped feature wins Saturday night - Bob Regula, Tommy Styer and Phil Peterson.

Hopefully Ken and his staff will continue to work hard to put fans in the stands and build the car count as well.

It is always nice Marty to go to a track and see old faces and glad you were back on the mic. I am sure you must miss it sometimes more than you want to say or admit. Haven't been to Hendry County since it was Sugarhill or whatever it was called about 10 years or so ago. Went to see the Classic cars run there on dirt and had a ball. Maybe I need a roadtrip one day if I can afford the gas.
