I have not watched a NASCAR race in forever so I could not answer your question. Sometimes, when I feel like it, I check the results from a race but seldom, if ever, watch one anymore. Just got tired of the same old, same old. I liked NASCAR better when it wasn't so much of the money game and it really was up in the air as to who would win because anyone could.

I watched the very tail end of the race last night, after going to one of many local short tracks up here. Got home, not much else on on a Saturday night, and was at the track with one of my buddies. We caught the end of the race - and the kid got lucky at the end, because a lot of them guys weren't on the same fuel sequence as those four cars. Hated to see the big one - where Gordon was just innocent and got hit in the left rear and turned. That was a hell of a shot into that inside wall - again (remember Vegas a few years back?). Other than that, not much excietment (well, I guess Newman and Juan Pablo Montoya Rodriguez Carmen San Clemente' dos Vasquez got into it pretty good, but I missed it).
So, to answer Tuna's question, at least in NASCAR racing: let's see, Kyle Busch has exactly...ONE Sprint Cup win. After eight races, Gordon (Jeff, not Robby), Johnson, Kenseth, and Edwards each have one win this year, along with Trevor Bayne. Harvick has...TWO wins. In Nationwide, Kyle has four wins, Edwards two, and Mark Martin and Tony Stewart each have one, again, after eight races. Not one NW regular has won a race this season, and probably won't, as long NA$CRAP keeps letting the Sprint Cup guys and teams run the show (or ruin the show, as the case may be). In the Trucks, after five races, Johnny Sauter is the only Truck regular with one win, Busch has two, and Michael Waltrip and Kasey Kahne each have one win, but they're not running for Truck points. So after twenty total races that Kyle's entered and run (he's only made four Truck starts so far), he's won eight races, almost half of what he's entered - *this year*. I'm fairly sure - *but not 100% sure* - that that percentage will go down - *way* down - as the season goes on. He always seems to choke once the Chase gets here. I ain't gonna deny that the kid can drive a race car. He's still a punk-a$$ kid with an attitude that I don't like.

McKinley and Dear ABBY
Comparing someone thats never been to a NASCAR sanctioned track to Kyle Busch is like comparing an arena football player to an NFL player. Or a softball great to a major league player. Its pretty safe saying they're better, you will never have to prove it.
McKinley, read your reply, you proved what I said. And I call you the professor. As far as punk ass kid, thats your problem, again you're probably one of the thousands that are pissed because Kyle got fired for Earnhardt and spanks him every week. Get over it, Earnhardt is a good guy, (not a kid anymore). Bush is just plain flat out better. Anyone that gets fired and then outperforms his replacement and all the fans boo him, yes he will be a smart ass, and so would you and Dear ABBY. I laugh my ass off when he wins and Earnhardt finishes 20th. Not because hes Earnhardt, but people like you couldnt let Jr be Jr., you had to lift him to a higher level than he was capable of when he started, and now I doubt he ever will make that level. Its a shame, the same with Kyle Petty, no better person in the world, but get over it, hes no Richard. The one son I can think of that was as good as his father was Dale Jarrett.

Let me say this: I am NOT - repeat - NOT a Dale Junior fan in the least. Even when he started running Late Model Stocks up in the Carolinas and Virginia, he couldn't do squat, even with the Earnhardt money (team)/name behind him. I was a HUGE Dale Earnhardt fan - and did NOT "jump on the Junior bandwagon" at all. He has not impressed me at all in the ten-plus years he's been running at the top level, even with the Hendrick money.
As far as Cup goes, I was a Bobby Allison/Bill Elliott/Dale Earnhardt fan, and my current favorite is Tony. Put him behind the wheel of just about any kind of race car - be it a Cup car, Nationwide, Sprint car, Modified, Midget, Late Model...Tony could win with it; he's always a threat. Reminds me a lot of ol' A.J. Foyt. Granted, I think owning his own team has taken away from the results lately (too much distraction?), but he's still pretty damn good.
About the fans booing Kyle...ol' Senior said something once on TV years ago at the Winston: "It don't matter if they're cheering for ya, or booing ya, as long they're making some kind of noise. It's when they STOP making any noise at all that ya gotta worry (about your career and where it's at)."

Kyle Busch is a hell of a driver and I don't think anyone can take that away from him. I got a chuckle out of Aby's comment about Bloomquist and Moyer. He's actually correct and I think Bloomquist and Busch are quite similar personality wise also. Both hate to lose and neither are made for TV. Too bad NASCAR doesn't race Cup races on dirt any more. It would sure bring a different lineup of drivers to the top.My photo site: http://www.rewingphotos.com

The "Professor" Jimmy Mac and Tunaman IROC series
In a perfect racing world we could see this series compete.
Racers from all types of racing, stock car, road racing, open wheel, dirt sprint, Bandoleros, oops wait, NO BANDOLEROS, would compete in a series of races. But instead of driving the same cars over and over like the old IROC series, they would drive a dirt sprint car for one race. Then an Indy/formula one type car in the second race. Then the third race would be rally cars. Then a drag race and maybe even a swamp buggy run through the sippy hole. Then we'd find out who the real best driver is.
Problem is that little JACKASS Kyle Busch would probably win that too.
