This has nothing to do with racing but does anyone out there have an alarm in their house on just one door?? My parents were broken into about a month ago and the 17 year old kid next door did it thru the screen door on the porch in the backyard. I need an alarm for that door that will go off if someone opens it especially during the middle of the night. Is there such a thing that anyone knows of??
The kid was looking for money but never saw dad in his hospital bed in the family room which is where he went in thru the sliding glass door. Poor dad is somewhat deaf and never heard him but mom heard the cats's water bowl in the dining room get hit and started screaming. The kid went out the front door and somehow put his hand thru it. The funny thing was that about 10 minutes later (before the cops got there), he came back and told my mom he was out walking at 2:30 in the morning and heard her scream and wanted to know if she was okay. Of course mom never opened the door for him but I guess he was checking to make sure that he had not killed her from a heart attack.
The cops followed the blood trial right next door and the kid admitted right away that he had broken in looking for money. He was arrested, has gone to court and now has a no contact order with my parents but they did nothing to him but give him rehabilitation I guess for breaking into houses. Bad thing is, he has no other place to go but the house next door and my mom no longer sleeps because of fear. The alarm would make her feel alot better for sure if anyone knows of one.
My folks are okay but like I said, mom does not sleep anymore. And she actually had one cat who acted like a dog and warned her something was wrong when the kid broke in. ATTACK CAT at my parents's house so watch out. But this proved that you never know about anyone.
