Just want to say thanks to Jack Smith.

It occurred to me last night that I'm not a part of anything positive around here any more, my fault or otherwise, and life is too short, so I shan't be posting any more.

But before I left I just wanted to thank Jack Smith for having all of this. I've been on here for 10+ years and I've made the acquaintance of quite a few people I enjoy seeing at the track, AB195, Boneman, Frasson, Derf, HaudFan, Osmosis Jones, Winger and more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

I've lost a lot of people in my life to cancer, so I know what Jack is going through and I sincerely hope you beat this thing Jack and continue to live your life with the passion that has got you this far through life.

I hope everyone enjoys the races this weekend and I highly recommend the sprint car show at Volusia Speedway Park tonight.

I have always enjoyed your posts Jack Tripper and sorry that you won't be posting anymore. Maybe sometime you will change your mind and see a post that is worth a comment that you feel strongly about. I recently started posting more than I had because there were things worth posting about. I love the Who Helped You post, that is a good one. And some are not even worth reading for sure but every now and then, they are some good, fun posts.

Please change your mind. you have been here from the get go and even though you have different opinions at times its ok. we all do. i dont think ive ever heard you degrade anyone. just disagree. we need other opinions... we need honesty...we need to keep our friendships intact. Please dont go away.
as for Jack... he needs us too... if everyone leaves Karnac then all the hard work to keep this board alive will be wasted. i will miss you if you leave.

Way great advertising for Volusia speedway but did we forget Jack Smith????? I hope everyone prays for Jack this week-end. A race car, a piece of material. a life, A Life????

Don't worry Joanne, Jack Smith is not forgotten and in my prayers every night. He is loved and respected by many and in alot of prayers. Girl, my prayer list is so long now that I do more praying at night than sleeping. Guess that lets me know that the world has gone nuts and my family and friends need God's help and blessings.

My poor mom has not slept in a month now, ever since the 17 year old next door broke into their house during the middle of the night to steal money. She keeps thinking she hears him still. Got to find some kind of alarm for her screen door on the porch that will go off if someone opens it at night since the kid came in thru that back door. Dad is in the hospital bed right there also but he did not hear the kid (shows how deaf he is now) but one of mom's cats woke her up because of the strange noise. But somehow I have to make her feel safe again in her home.

I need to thank Jack too. I first met Jack many many moons ago when the owner of Keels and Wheels brought him to Desoto. My first impression was "heres another 60's hippy. That just goes to show you first impressions aren't Always reliable. I have been around racing an awful long time and knowing Jack has greatly enhanced my experience. I have taped racing all over the South east United states and most of the time Jack was right there doing a radio show or at least writing for Karnac and other written publications. Over all these years Jack has been a loyal friend and I treasure the memory's I have of our friendship. Jack, hold your head up and walk tall, my friend you can lick this disease. God's in control and I pray for you daily and we will continue as long as we have breath. May God keep you in his hand during these times of trial. We are also praying for Kathy and the girls for strength. May God Bless. Bob....

saw this thread. and j/t, i hope you change your mind. i know, i know, you just get burned out on things, time and again. alot of things are changing in almost all of our lives right now, and a knee-jerk reaction isn't always the best answer; but, carry on as you would, and i'll have fond memories of your postings.

Give us an ancore presentation of; Frasson118 postcards of....Where Is Frasson. Remember that? That was a great Series of faux post-cards.

Jack is the ONLY reason I have my Florida Racing History website... He put it together and never asked a dime for his services... In my opinion, Jack is the best and always will be!
As for you Jack Tripper, there are plenty of posts on here that can use your imput, so I'll join those in saying "stay with us."
