My heart is very sad for all of you but it doesn't matter whether it was a step-son or your son, you loved him as your own. I know because my oldest son was raised by his stepfather from the time he was two and to him, that was his dad. He did see his real dad every now and then but he kindof walked out of his life so all he really knew was his step-dad.

If you are a good parent and a loving person, we don't see step-children or adopted children or half-brothers and sisters but just see them as the children we love and give our lifes too forever. Even when they are grown with children of their own, they are still our babies forever.

May God bless your whole family. I wish I had some money to send for the kids but right now I am doing good keeping my house if possible. But please know you all are in my prayers nightly and if there is anything I can ever do for any of you, please let me know.

As a parent, we never expect to bury our children before us but it does happen but it is the hardest thing as a parent that any of us can do.

    God bless all of you.

            Strengh is in Family

Strength is in Family. Jesse Service was packed. I didn’t know Jesse well but by the amount of Family in Friends that attended he was well known and loved. Tragedy has a way of shocking you back into life. It is to short and to fragile to waste. You never know when, or why. But He (GOD) has his plan for all of us. The Racing Community was well represents with several of our local Champions and their Teams. With Gary’s and his Family's having a long history of Racing there was a large group of Friends and supports to help comfort his Family at the hardest time of all. The Children need us more than ever. Please remember them in our prays and support for their future. Life is tuff enough. Now they will have to rely on Family and Friends. I am proud to be part of the Racing Family. GOD bless you Jesse.

Very well said Bobby, I have a hole in my heart these last few weeks. Lost so many of my racing friends and family. Thanks for being there for us. I just can't do it...JP

Gary, please check your private messages. I need your help if at all possible. My family has the same situation you just had and we need some help if you can help us.

And yes Joanne, we have lost alot of family and friends in racing. I have gotten to where it is too hard to go to the funerals anymore. I went to Homer Gordon's, Pete Orr's, Tim Clark's step-mom, Jack's sister, too many. My heart has been overwhelmed by loss and grief but I do know that as long as we hold the ones we love close in our hearts, they are never gone. I still think of my friend Julie that I lost almost 2 years ago daily and talk to her all the time and somehow that comforts me and I feel like she hears me. I guess some would put me in a funny farm for that one but I still talk to my grandmothers that are gone because I know they do hear me and sometimes give me the answers to my questions.

God works in strange ways and we don't always understand except those that are with him must have a glorious life now without pain or worry anymore. I do find comfort in that.

As you can tell, it has been a long, hard day for me trying to find out answers for my questions I have asked Gary. Just praying hard that he can help me and I can help my family.
