I have no idea why Parker's name appears twice in the points. He's listed in cars numbered 13 and 3 and maybe one should have been Pop Grostic who possibly owned/built both cars. Can anyone help with details?

Now that's a good one Marty... looks like a screw-up by whoever was doing the points because I remember Stan running the #13 but Grostic drove his own car that year (It was my first year of going there full time - I was 11 years old!)... They always spelled Mel Hoff's name wrong...
I think Ernie Bass went on to win the Sportsman points and Harry Pullen won the Late Model points...
Note they only ran two classes and had more cars back then than tracks have today running 5-6-7 classes!

When I see the term mix it up with Robby Ashton I always think fo Ernie Bass who had more than a few run ins with him. I attended Valdosta Speedway in the mid 60s and they introduced a driver from Orlando named Bill Wise, I looked at my wife at that time and said it had to be Robby Ashton as that was frequently hi s bondsman. Bought a pit pass and guess who was there Robby himself. Got to love the good old days.
