There was a tie for the best race: the 360 Sprint feature at East Bay and the Tour Modified 100 at New Smyrna.

The funniest thing of February happened at East Bay. A young lady driver, I think she was Brittany Frosh, walked by the grandstands in her firesuit. She was a pretty girl with long dark hair, so a confused fan near me stood up and pointed while saying, "Danica! There is Danica!" He was serious too.

I've had a blast!

I had to cut back on the racing this year. Either races or divorce court. EB and NSB did real well with their prices. Volusia is getting out of hand. $20.00 to camp with no aminities is a bit high also. billy

Nice putting a face with a name. Glad to see you and Carol at the reunion. I have not seen that many of the boys since the Old Bridge days. It was great. Heck If Bruce did not make it you had a ride in the Z-8. YOu might have found 3rd gear

Kind of depressing, sort-of, that this has passed again, SpeedWeeks that is.
51 weeks to go untill next time this happens again.
But, the calander won't stop, and I am sure the memories that are glued into our memories won't die either.
Good times, they were.
Now it's time for some rest, as the season will start up next month.

East Bay-1 (usually 3 or 4, but they cut the sprints badly this year).
VSP-4 (World Racing Group is learning fast from napcar, outrageous ticket prices. Racing was good thought.)
NSS- 3 (Priced right and decent racing).
Daytona- 1 Truck Race (Ticket was free).

Wish I had made North Florida with the 410s. And it was a shame the 410s didn't have the weekend portion of East Bay this year.

After sitting through the truck race, I remembered why I love the short tracks so much. Thank you Daytona for reminding me of that.

Actually the general admission ticket to the late model show (WoO) at Volusia was cheaper than East Bay (Luca Friday) and they had the modifieds also. But I do agree that $40 ticket prices are outrageous.
