This was published in the front of all 1997 Programs at Desoto Speedway. Check out the prices and some of the employees. The Photo is of Bobby Day Legendary Photographer of yesteryear. He began I think at Hialeah I'd say in the 60's and he shot at tracks all over the state at times. He worked at Desoto from the early 80's to probably 98' or 99'. His motor on his Cart was rebuilt so many times The last time I remember I think Bruce Carbone rebuilt it and it was probably the last time they were able to rebuild it. It was worn slap out...

Yup
Several names I know on that list. It's not marked, but that photo I believe is Bobby Day. Remember him from Citrus in the early 90's. He got around really good on his 'fast' golf cart too.
RIP Bobby.
-JIM-RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

Yeah its Bobby Day Jimbo. I just realized just now I forgot to label it. Bobby was a good guy. I worked with him for years at several different tracks. The Photog's print your pictures now while you wait. They didn't have any thing on Bobby. He had a studio set up at the track and he printed pictures there and that was in the mid and late 80's. The people didn't have a problem waiting cause they were busy drinking beer and watching my video of the night. Man those were the days... Bob....
I also see 4 or 5 names that are no longer with us. PIP...Last edited by flvideo; 04-08-2011, 10:01 AM.

I like the place for......
Suggestions.......EVERY track could benefit from a suggestion/good job/you suck box by the exit gate. Of course thay also have to read them with an open mind and then take actions to improve their product based on what their customers want.
I know...I know.....pipe dreams....
