  • Terry Cater

Saw that Terry Cater of New Castle, IN set quick time and won the Late Model feature driving car #2 last Saturday at the Anderson, IN Speedway... Wonder if this is the same Terry Cater who ran car #2 in LM races in Florida, primarily at Citrus County...

Sunday, USAC ran the Glen Neibel Classic for Sprints at Anderson and had a nice (for them on pavement) field of 23 cars. Troy DeCaire set 13th quick time, won his heat and finished 11th in the 50 lap main which was won by Bobby Santos III....

    Terry Cater

    #2

Terry Cater drives the #2 Late Model Class car. His home track is Mt. Lawn Speedway. He lives in New Castle, IN.

Team members helping Terry are: Josh Brown. Terry Cater and Rauby Asberry are the car owners.

Terry started racing in 1973 in the Go Kart Class at Indiana because his Dad owned Late Models. His first win was in '73 in the Go Kart class at Mt. Lawn Speedway. Career highlights include 3 Championships, 150 plus Feature wins in Indiana and Florida, Track Records in Street Stock, Late Models and current Track Record in Late Model, 2008 Raintree 100 winner, Stock Car Extravaganza winner '07.

Terry's racing hero is Mark Martin.

Of racing, Terry says, "You're around a lot of good people and meet a lot of new friends!".

Troy was running well but had an issue with the brakes early on (lost them) and had to just hang on to it until the finish.
