  • TBARA Press Release 3/19/11 NSS

The TBARA was very excited to have the one and only WILD CHILD back in the flag stand. For the many fans that stayed through the 250 lap Pro Cup Race they were in for a real treat as Doug was in rare form!

Also, we introduce our new announcer for the Club, Scott McAllister. Scott was on hand not only announcing for the crowd but lending his voice to Gordon Motorsports. Gordon Motorsports were there conducting driver interviews and videotaping the race. (For copies of the race, contact Gordon Motorsports at www.gordonmotorsports.com)

As the sun set on the race track, the scene was set under a full moon.

28 cars signed in for the nights events.

Two cars fell out of contention early in the night. The 68 of Troy DeCaire and the 01 of Matt Hall. Both cars experienced motor issues after practice.

The first sets of heats were rolled out onto the track about 1030p.

There was a quick 20 minute intermission for the club to formulate the line up and for the cars to complete any last minute changes.

The cars were pushed back out onto the track at about 1130p.

    Feature line up: 8 19 15 18 27 7 12 21 78 91 2 1 22 51 55 0 41 5 30 31 90 17 87 59

Keith Butler in the 19 would lead the first 6 laps, however, would inevitably pull in the infield with an over heating engine.

The 18 of Shane Butler quicly took the lead.

On lap 24 the 18 of Butler and the 91 of Steele fought hard for postition but the 91 makes contact with the wall and is out for the remainder of the night.

Restarting lap 24 the 7 spins in turn 2 bringing out the caution.
