Are you still charging $15 apiece for an adult to buy a ticket?

Is there another track in Florida that charges that much for a weekly show, when the Supers, OWM or Sprints aren't even racing?

Yep ur rightRSB but most of then down there dont live in tralers and dont mind paying to race at a nice track. Its still cheper than taking the old girl out for a stake. I filled my truck up and it was $100 today. When a tank of gas was $50 pit pass were $20. Every thing has gone up and the ticket price has gone down. If $5 or $10 on the pit entry makes the differance weither you race or not the answer is clear...You cant aafford it RSB

i wonder it takes almost thousand dollars

to take you car to races . time pay gas to get there and back , then buy fuel - then tires and food and drinks you might pay a little more

but you get to race for 15 minutes . figure the investment you have in your car - toter - trailer - and ever thing it takes to race is it really worth it .

look at what you save by leaving the trailer in garage and car on jack stands 4000.oo a month , that is if you don't have to build and engine or car gets crashed

guess i'm a little angry for those that don't know i have finally decided to sell ever thing we got .that's got to do with racing

my son had colon canser and even thou he had it all removed he can't race any more

we have a jimmy cope open wheel modified race ready - three engines all kind of parts lot of gears new winters quick change

also dirt street stock 4 races old won 2 heats 2 in feature 3 in feature and was running third in last race broke shifting rod it was 64 white chevy

that michael cherry drove in 3 days world street stock at east bay

also 28 foot daytona shadow trailer roof air with generator with doors after you unload the car inside doors pull down and you can open center door all lexan ice cold air also has winch an cabinets this ain't the cheap trailer

              lets deal ron sr 863-559-9258

Sounds like all you are doing is making excuses for the track. The facts don't add up.

Why is Desoto now the most expensive track in the state, and the only one that is charging $30 per pit pass, $10 per pit slab, and $15 per adult admission for a program with lower division classes only, and $20 for "special" events?

Does Desoto need better management? New ideas? A new owner?

                  Hey John,
Don't let these turkeys get you down. Thanks for running the figure 8's, I think they bring a lot to the show. They are the coolest stock cars going!

Punta Gorda also is 30 bucks for pit pass. Desoto has restrooms in pits; why doesn't east bay?

As much as I dislike high prices, you could always go to a movie and drop about $50 bucks for two people. Maybe $25 if you sneak in your own popcorn and drink.

Popcorn was $8 last time I went.

Popcorn or pitslab ? I'll take a pitslab sir.

Did you know Desoto payed the best in the state for 8 years or so fact,
AACS Supers $3000,00 to win $400.00 to start $30,000.00 point fund $10,000.00 to the winner ask Jeff Schofield he took $30,000.00 just for the championship.
                        LLM $15,000.00
                        Mods $5,000.00
all other classes $800.00 to win +++++ Rings ,Trophy's ,Jackets. Each year $80,000.00 given out at our dinner dance. FACT

We been having hard times just like many of our racers, trying to do the best I can, last year Front gate $15.00 for Supers,TBARA,our regular races no up charges.Did you know I gave free tires last year to help the racer buy 3 get one free did you know that I lost $17,000.00 and I said I will do that every week if I can keep 100 cars in the pits.I would let drivers in for free if I could get 100 cars in the pits,I am not hard to work with but you have to show up and surpport it,and we might need a new owner just step up and wright the check thanks for comming to the racers John.

Does DeSoto no longer have the flat Figure 8 in the infield? Will these be the "Outlaw" type wedge cars, or like the old "Street Stock" Figure 8's?
