Really? The bike was *that* slow, huh? I bet a Strictly Stock could get around faster than that...LOL...

I find that Mustang time hard to believe, too. What's the Cup and Nationwide track records? Aren't they in like the high-15-second bracket?

          just

Just going by what I've read, jimmy. It does kinda' seem somewhat slow though, doesn't it?

I would have liked to have seen a Kalamazoo Speedway "Call-Of-The-Wild" type machine to take to the Track, a dirt wedge super late model with sideboards/billboads, aluminum block, aluminum intakes, aluminum manifold, nitus injected, tires wider than they are tall, 44 inch scoop nosed, huge tail spoiler, convertable, flat sided car take the stop-watch.

            And the TV Coverage--

            4-2-2011.....................SPEED Network--

Just saw it presented, and it was lukewarm, at best.....the coverage, that is.

Too many driver interviews in the pits, and man hugging pit crew members, and presentations of giant cardboard checks to drivers, and elated wives and girlfriends of the drivers, while the cameras were dialed tight in on them, and those things.

All at the same time Machines were turning lap after lap of timed speeds on the Raceway in the background, and not even a look at them, hardly at all.

And those laps were missed by the cameras, and subsequent viewing audience. Even the Superbike driver was only going at at a "comfortable" speed, not hard-out, as he stated.

This was an event that I had thought would have turned out better, as the near empy grandstands showed.

The Supermodified was the best part of the program, I thought.
