I am no longer involved with Auburndale Speedway so don't expect much in the way of stories etc. from their races, much like it was awhile back... Amy Stratton has taken over the website and is doing a good job and she'll update when she gets the info...
I was at the FUPS race Saturday night... Good field of 24 cars... a lot of top-notch equipment... Race was lousy though... very choppy, a lot of bumping and rooting... lots of cautions... Tim Russell absolutely dominated the thing... no one was even near to being in his class...
Legends Car race was the best of the night...
Also congrats to Brandon Thomson who won the Pro Challenge heat and feature even though he had never driven one of the things before Saturday night...

Dave, I'm sorry that you are no longer affiliated with Auburndale Speedway. I always felt you did a great job for any of the tracks at which you worked.

I wish Auburndale Speedway would have someone send me their results for posting on Karnac.com Florida Stock Car Racing. Come to think of it there are more tracks that don't send in their results than do and likewise they don't take advantage of the possibilities for pre-race notification that can be provided by simply sending press releases to Karnac.com. Please realize that if fans know what is going on at your track that will bring more of them out to your track.

These tracks you are talking about like you say should be did it to get people a heads up about what will happen this coming week. But they also know giving out results will show the car counts. Or lack there of, if they are way down.

I send the results in every week to all of the newspapers as well as to Karnac.com. I have been doing that for several years now. I usually send them by Monday morning. If I need to send them to another address, please let me know. Jane always posted them in the past.

For Rick Williamson, I alway tell everybody what is scheduled for the next week and I list the complete results of drivers that are present at the track for that week. It is also updated on our web site by Monday, and results are sent to all newspapers.

Thanks Rick Anges for helping to clear up the issue concerning Auburndale Speedway results. Carol, I look forward to working with you throughout the 2011 season in getting Auburndale Speedway race results and any pre-race press releases you may have posted on Karnac.com Florida Stock Car racing. An informed fan base is the greatest thing any track can have going for itself. That is how excitement is generated.
