Today, my wife Barbara and I took our new AMF Chassis, Byron Koury powered E-mod to a car show at Mid-Florida Technical College in Orlando. The show was a charity event in support of their Skills USA program for the students. It was an Orange County Public Schools sponsored event and it was well attended.
Barbara and Butch Pierce from Orlando Speedworld assisted with some racetrack literature and 100 "buy one get one free " tickets for general admission. We left the show with only 3 tickets left.....
I was very surprised at the interest the public showed towards the racecars in attendance. I spent most of the day assisting kids in and out of the my E-mod and enjoying the smiles on their faces as they sat in the seat. The parents were excited to get photos of their children in the car. It was GREAT exposure for me, my racecar, and Orlando Speedworld. The majority of the people we met expressed their interest in coming to Orlando Speedworld to see the races.
As well as my E-mod, Dave Debelius had his modified and super late model at the show. Both are very well prepared racecars that looked great on display.
