good morning thanks for your response
Tony- yes I do own a sprint car and live 20 mins. from the track. My opinon is this............I don't agree with what you are doing to the guys that have worked their a@#s off for many years to get sprint cars were they are in florida. So, NO I will not support your races!
let me ask you something? where is sprint car racing right now in fl?
checkered flag sprints- no schedule guess that means no races
central fl wingless sprints- first race cancelled bc sponsor backed out, maybe one in april at columbia
tbara- the premiere series, which some of our drivers will be there next wk to support them at new symrna, other than that 2 other races at the end of the year and ur hauling to the panhandle.
Yes I race a TQ also. and I did not say anything to put down Linda or the Track. I just thought it was strange that in the pic...it was all of the CFSS cars. Our fans may think that is the series that will be running or better yet, the CFSS drivers will be showing up. I have alot of repect for Linda and appreciate all of the TQ races that the track has given us in 2011.
well ill let u in on a little secret, there will be some cars that have supported cfss in the past racing there this sat night.
we understand your opinons and feelings but the way some of us are looking at it right now is asphalt non wing sprint racing is on its ass right now .. period. were just trying to make something happen for the drivers that just want to race when and where they choose.

Anyone know how many TQ's were there last Sat. night? I know---- it was rained out but how many showed up? They're a good class and fun to watch but like any other class -- you need a decent field to make tham an attractive part of the show.

The late models had 11 or 12 cars for a 100 lapper. That's pathethic. Maybe a 25 or 35 lap feature but 100 laps?? After a couple of mechanical problems and a spin or two you're left watching 6 or 7 cars droning around with maybe a couple more 5 or 6 laps down. The rain was a blessing, although not for anybody who'd driven a distance to get there.

No fault of the track or even some of the guys who didn't show for some reason or another (someone mentioned cars being torn up the previous week-end). But if we can't be assured of a 20 car turn-out, don't schedule races of this length. It just doesn't make sense.

            Tony...

however this turns out you are one hell of a race fan...never mind a good driver. you went into this with all good intentions. to help keep sprints alive and give these guys a chance to race. i, as a fan, appreciate that.
i do need one thing explained to me tho.... for years ive heard how expensive it is to run sprints, hence the high cost tracks have to pay them to race... if the SLM pay $9.00 a gallon and race 100 laps, and the sprints pay $3.00 a gallon to race 25 laps... well what are the other costs sprints pay that other classes dont pay?
i love sprints. when TBARA had 30 + cars and they were all together , they were one of the most exciting classes. then they split and it all went downhill for all of them.
please explain because i really do not understand. florida racing is in the toilet bowl because of all this internal crap and its time it stopped. Tony.. thank you for all the wonderful things you do for racing... it takes a person with integrity and you know what else to make things happen. Good luck this weekend. that doesnt mean i dont wish TBARA or CFS the same. I do... but for now "GO KICK SOME ASP! what a night of racing. SPRINTS & OWM!!!! its orgasmic! roflllllllllll

We had 9 Tq midgets there on Sat. There are 2-3 cars that are being finished up for this season. I understand that 12-13 cars isn't alot, but we are working hard at getting more cars in the series. Thanks for asking and supporting the TQ Midgets. We are a really fun class and exciting.

Carol, I too would like to know why they say it cost so much to run a sprint. Does it really cost more than a late model?

As for the fuel. It is a lot closer to $3.00. I bought it for $3.00 per gallon 3 weeks ago when we ran the king of the outlaws event. Today on Methonex the national average for wholesale is $1.28. You can get a 55 gallon container for $188 retail. If you buy it in 5 gallon containers from VP it is $37 but you are paying for the container. So it's not the fuel. So what is it?

Linda. You do a great job girl. You keep it up.

I'm not sure if anyone car late model or sprint is any more costly than the other they are both expensive . Now one thing for sure is that LM have far more races than we do but hopefully between TBARA ,IPSCA and CFWSS we may have a few more races threw the year !! Just support whom ever may be running because if we don't we won't be on the internet complaining about what group is running for sure, there will be no races for us !! I think its kinda like a he said she said battle track promoters say one thing clubs say another one thing for sure is that i have a sprint car that me and my son want to race. Weather its Fla., Ga., SC., NC., or Ind. i suport who is racing thats just me. So come on owners and drivers lets go to PG and then NS next weekend and April brings 2 more dates, see you there !!
