Jealousy, no I don't think so. I just think there are a lot of other short track racers out there that have a lot more potential and experiance. I run a street stock for fun and fly HH65's for the USCG. So persuing a racing career is not in the plan for me, the Coast Guard is very strict in what aviators can do in there off time. The government has to much money and time invested in training and what you can and can't do when it comes to motorsports. Besides only 6 more years to retirement!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I'll be 40 and can race whatever I wan't.

Don't knock her for playing by the rules. For someone supposedly not very talented, she made the race, unlike more "talented" drivers, including a former NA$CAR winner and one driver development driver that is supposed to be god's gift.

i'm not defending Owens but Krisiloff with all his experience took out half the field including Gossilin, later Sheltra caused a big wreck too.

Let's be realistic here that was all on the spotter. You know he told him he was clear and just wasn't by a nose. They are totally dependant on the spotters in that situation. From experience that is the hardest place to call someone clear or not. (If he was just using one spotter from the tower.) When the car just starts to come straight at you it is very tough to call your driver clear, the spotter used bad judgement and it took out 1/2 the field. I wasn't too sure what happened to Owens all I know is she spun twice bringing out the yellow I am not sure if she had help or not though.

They are showing the ARCA replay now on Speed. That first spin by Owens was all her fault. I will have to watch closer on her 2nd one to see if that one is her fault as well.

Second one was tough to see it looks like she drifted too high off 4 and then came back down across the guy behind her's nose. But the angle was hard to tell.

It just goes to show that you dont need talent to race. Just deep pockets and know someone. Its sad because there is a lot of other far more talented drivers around then O-NOwens but they will never get a chance.
