There was quite a bit discussed while I was there. Someone asked if the track was going to be staying asphalt and they said yes, that this place was too good of a facility to ruin it with clay. Also, she said they would be holding two test dates at the track before it opens up for racing season but that could come between mid-March and April.
They would not be sanctioned by NASCAR, IMCA, ASA, FASCAR or anyone else, that it would be run under their own rules and their deal. It sounds like there will be five classes ran out there regular, street, pure, 4-cyl bomber, sportsman and most likely modified while they will ran the late models every month it sounds like.
I think these people have the right idea to get the track going in the right direction.

??????? LOL ! maybe where you are going ! for instance citrus had 17 mod-minis saturday nite ! and the season has just begun . some dont even have their cars ready yet . its obviously just dying at your local track . alot of us were hoping bronson would run mod -minis so we could race there on our off weeks . no gear change needed . fun track , nice facility . hope they change their mind , they would draw a good car count for sure .

Bronson vs Citrus County Speedway
You know what my idea is, Bronson races Friday nite, right and Citrus Sat. nite. So, my idea is, forget Bronson rules, let have every classes from CCS to Bronson that`s put out a big show for all classes, and we can enjoy 2 nites of racing in a same car. Or have Bronson look in CCS schedule and fill in schedule so, that way, if you ran a big 100 lappers or so, you can take a next nite off at other track.what would you think. any coment.

They said that they WILL NOT be racing Friday's. She pretty much said that racing stays asphalt and it stays Saturday nights. We've been working on a new street stock and we can't really finish until we get some of the rules to race there. The new owners seemed like real nice people and it sounds like they are going to do it right. She also said that they would not have any sanctioning such as NASCAR, ASA, IMCA and FASCAR and would be ran off their own rules. So there probably won't be in sanctioning membership to pay there either.

They didn't really talk about the figure 8, but they did talk about the favoritism that occurred before and I think with them being new people that are here and not used to the people that raced there before, we probably won't be seeing that. We raced there back in 2004, and it was the sameway, especially considering the head tech's son was racing in our class and he probably got by with anything.

Considering the amount of Saturday competition, Friday night seems like a better option. I wonder what their thinking is on this?
I've never been to Bronson, but I'd like to give it a try. Hopefully there will be a class I can fit in.

Bronson is a fun track to race on, high banked, we always called it mini-Bristol. We race street stocks and pure stocks, but I think that they like the good ol Saturday night racing. That was one of the two things that they very set on, was keeping the track asphalt and keeping it Saturday night.

I grew up, and at one time before Cope bought the place the stands stayed packed. I haven't raced there, I've been a crew chief and team member and live about 5 miles from the place. I can remember having good drivers and cars race out there, Gary Southard, the Anderson family, Kevin Durden. I can go on and on, but what ruined that place was putting that stupid car count rule down that Cope put in line, and not paying the winner just because 15 cars showed up and there was a 20 count on the rule.
If the place is ran right and you get rid of the guys that were making the place go down such as techs that were showing a lot of favoritism. There used to be some exciting races out there and if you get some of the others out there that will support the track it will get back to what it was.
