  • James Cavali - the villain of the Richie Evans 100

You know who lost the Richie Evans 100? The fans. This race was a toss-up and we were heading for another super finish, but the driver who was introduced as "Mr. Controversy" James Cavali mucked up the end.

Ted Christopher and Ronnie Silk spend much of the race in an extended dual where they swapped the lead over and over. With about 10 to go, Cavali's team mate stopped on the track to draw a yellow. Coincidence? I don't think so. So on the restart, Cavali dive bombs Ronnie Silk and drove him straight into the first turn concrete.

According to Ted Christopher in victory lane, that was the stupidest move he'd ever seen, because on the yellow TC had called in that Cavali had a flat LF tire, but they ignored it.

James Cavali had driven several competitors to the top of the track, and had been generous with the nerf bars and bumpers, so it was no real surprise that he crashed Ronnie Silk, flat tire or not. I wish he lived closer so I could "boo" him on a weekly basis.

Would have loved to been there but decided to spend a family night together. Too bad, Ronnie Silk is one of my favorites to watch and Civali always has good looking cars. You can always "like" his facebook page and post comments like
"You are a knucklehead", and "Watch for Silk", which is probably true and "nice car, too bad a moron is driving it".

Drivers have to learn respect, get your eyes beat shut a few time and you will respect others. But c'mon! Today's drivers? All talk........

Benny, go ahead and start a few fights in the pits, then report back to us. Tell us how you like being in the legal system and defending lawsuits. The old days are gone, and the old ways are gone with them.

Yes, write this down when again everyone is trying to understand WHY the sport can't be fixed.

At Bowman Grey the fight may even resume on a Wednesday when people run into each other in town.
