Watching Daytona truck practice, I seen them interview Chris Fontaine and googled him to find out he's from Polk County. Just wondered if he's part of the Fontaine family that started Discount Auto Parts ? I moved away from Polk Co. in 1998 and haven't kept up with Fla. racing as much here lately.

hi jim... i talked to Chris earlier today. He is so easy going and has a good attitude. he said hes heading for a beach tomorrow to take in the race. he is disappointed . he mentioned getting thru the first big wreck in front of him and then getting caught up in a mess that happened in back of him...lol Truck looked great and easily visible from the air shots.
was more like a demo derby than a race... im worried about tomorrow...
hope you had fun but i know you were disappointed in what happened to Ricky. He was doing so well for so long. talk soon...
