1966 Arca 250 Photo Montage

From an old Racing Pictorial... Man were these cars ever STOCK!! Just 33 cars started the race that year... It was won by Jack Bowsher in a 1966 Ford (#21)... Ramo Stott in the #0 was second followed by Andy Hampton #35 and Ernie Derr (The top guy from the old IMCA Stock Car circuit) in the #1... Some others I can recognize are Ralph Latham in an old Ray Nichels Plymouth #25 and USAC driver Sal Tovella in the #5 Mercury... Check out two cars that had to come off some show room somewhere... the #02 Pontiac of Johnny Ditch and the #00 Buick of Ray Daniels... The only guy running a Pontiac at that time in NASCAR was H.B. Bailey and no one was running a Buick back then...
Things have really changed....
