NSS Time to Change it up

Not a bad night by any means, good racing for the most part. I enjoyed it. Low car counts in the mods and lack of real names in the slms (other than the usual suspects) has me wondering.

I just wonder if the days of having the mods and slms in town for 9 nights has passed. Would they be better off with 5 nights of each with higher dollar shows and special events (ala ACT). I just dont think people can justify it anymore. Although the crate numbers do contradict this line of thinking, i really dont go there for the crates.

I will be back several times this speedweeks, but after seeing the shows at vsp and nss, i really want to see a more robust program from nss.

I have a feeling that it will get better this weekend... Even though they may be big teams, I think alot of people are waiting for Friday to end to come down.... Even the late model guys need money.... Going to be some very good racing the next few nights and I think the week will finish out very well...

Speed51 was posting that a bunch of cars and teams will be showing up Sunday/Monday or later. I know that they said the Meyers (Burt and Chris?) will be there Monday; they're spending the weekend at Walt Disney World with their families.

They also said that more than half of the Crate Late Model field is from north of the border, and the ACT guys already have about half of their field at the track for practice before Sunday night's show, so a lot of teams made the long haul down for the week....
