Ok Don Nots maybe your ideas will work and pack the place but lets say what if it doesnt and fails miserably. Who may I ask will recoup the owner of said racetrack for the loss he will incur because of it? Just sayin'......or asking.
P.S. It is about the money, racetracks are a buisness. It's not as easy as it looks been there done that with more than a few tracks.

Thanks Rick...You got the point....Just cause you have an idea and can afford an i4 doesnt mean you can afford a racetrack....Racecars are cheap compared to race tracks....doesnt mean it has to be that way though.....

A: Rick they let you speak at one how bad could it be?? B: this other goon helped me out when he said the tracks were more then the cars. no matter what drivers will go to selected track due to lack of options. I'm wanting a more open minded idea as far as a race program all together not just a standard operation. Money does come along with it no doubt but if it was mainly about money these tracks here hardly cut it.. it is about love and passion for the sport and wanting to see it and the normal everyday joe in it reach where they wanna reach. people always Bitch and moan about how tracks are run and the tech rules and all that but they have to just shut up and deal with it cuz there are zero options.. and as far as money loss the last time I was at NSS and OSW you could throw something in the stands and not hit a damn soul.. You ARE the next track owner......you want to promote a track as a hobby, see the race you want to see, pay the money you think you should pay to see the drivers you want to show up, charge the smallest dollar at the front gate and make believe the place was packed with fans!!!!!

THAT is what has killed the short track racing BUSINESS....so go ahead!!!! It will absolutely kill the closest track to you, and when you get tired of loosing money and it will kill yours too...

That to all my friends..... this is the state of short track racing in America!

When this business becomes a business again....we will have a sport again!!!

Tim when was the last time someone who already did not have a boat load of money made it into NASCAR?? Allison, petty days maybe?? it becoming all about the money not so much the love for it is what has killed it. if you watch any Dale sr or Petty Bio they talk about how they had to do everything they could to be at the next race and these are Racing HEROS not not Joey Lagano Who is a Rich kid who fell into a seat with his dad's wallet. granted he won a lot of Nationwide races but so did Dale JR and we see what he is doing.. now we have Great Local Guys like Jason Boyd being passed up cuz they don't act like mindless Robots. so what he has gotten into things here and there but for 90% of America that is just part of growing up. my point is getting where you want in racing "NASCAR" is not going to happen inless you are loaded..

Once again..I'm with you and support you 100%.......So how does this make money for race tracks in the next 2 months? Because if your talking about a huge investment of dollars to support your idea..i just dont see it....


I am under the beleif that the short track industry doesnt present its product in a way to draw new fans....it only tells existing fans that theres a race...I am working towards a way to better our advertising and present a better product...perhaps draw new fans.....draw the EVENT crowd!

One idea doesn't fix this.....combined ideas and combined application regardless of the racetrack you go to is the fix. Same product with different dynamics makes this work and easier to sell...

Its called a sanctioning body with duplicate rules and procedures......or a tour series.....

Don I speak at one because it is my job and I like what I do. The point wasnt that racetracks are bad or that your ideas won't work, the thing is that your ideas will cost money to do I.E. advertising, promotion, prize money, trophies etc.etc.etc. What most people don't know is that Jack and I took years traveling to tracks all over the Southeast to see how they worked and Buddy it is not easy, race tracks are monsters.

Just a question, how many tracks have you worked? How many races have you promoted? How many disgruntled drivers, employees or fans have you dealt with? I can keep asking questions because the list is endless. Whether you want to believe it or not I have done and dealt with everyone of these things and I have never owned a track.

I think what you should do is call some tracks up and ask to meet with an owner and see if they like what you are saying instead of posting it on a message board...

The things I have been with have done very well for themselves.. I have been around racing for 20 years and my Ideas like I said are just more open minded ideas as far as what people will win or anything like that are based on the show that they put on. which I have worked out. I don't just come out and talk I have a well organized event that I feel will draw a lot of attention. and I figured that coming on here anyone who loved racing as much as I do would Shut ther mouth and open there ears not just try to down play me like "Bubba" and others.. the main thing killing this sport and these local tracks is there are no positive changes to get butts in the seats which is where your money will be if you wanna talk money and they keep pissing off the Drivers who have a pair and decide that they will race else where or just stop due to its Dictatorship esk Mgt.

Broson is for sale...Give it a spin!! You will be a little short but im sute u can get a lease with a buy deal. From what you said you got enough for half a year in todays world.
I did leace a tack one thme for $500 a week and it did work out real well. I had to borrow the $500 and another $500 for ins and didnt know how i was going to pay the purse. for the first 3 weeks the racers never came to the pay window. I rember using the beer can money for gas to get home.
It worked out great and i still thank people for what they did for me in those years
Now dont talk about it put on the big panties and go for it. You will be a Hero or a Zero. it up to you.

According to Greg Biffles crew chief, it was Boyds attitude that killed his chances at NASCAR. I heard him say on TV a few hrs back " Jason Boyd has the most natural talent of anyone thats ever been on Jack Rouches gong show, but with his attitude he needs to pack his bags, go back to Florida and stay there". He said, " can you imagine being his crew chief???
