Two Non-Racing Observations from VSP

The 2 girls on the tailgate don't exactly seem like they are victims here. In fact, they seem to be hamming it up a bit. It's not like some poor un-suspecting ladies got ridiculed. These 2 were POSING for those shots, and I'm sure they didn't think it was for Vogue Magazine either.

If they can find a way to poke fun at themselves, there's no need for anyone else to defend their self-esteem. In other words, it's all a joke Carol, and the 2 girls in the shot are in on the joke. They don't seem to be offended... why are you?

i rarely post anymore on the message board. however. if i want to i will...
it is NEVER ok to make fun of anyone! especially people who have physical disabilities.
the post started out pretty funny but then it got sick.
and dont let the pics fool you. i am willing to bet the ladies who posed are laughing on the outside and crying on the inside. obesity is cruel to its victims!. you can laugh with people to save your dignity but i bet when you are alone the tears flow.
what ticks me off is the fact that the same few who used to get mad at people who werent talking about racing, are the same who are posting BS now. you guys do not intimidate me and i will never understand how you can be so cruel to people who arent quite as perfect as you!
im done with this thread. no matter what you say i will go to my grave thinking its wrong to insult people with physical handicaps! would you allow your children to act like this? to make fun of others?

You have no idea what most of us have going on in our lives. Believe me, if obesity was the only medical problem I had, I'd be so very grateful. I almost posted a picture of a very skinny girl that was obviously emaciated. That would have been cruel, as that person obviously had a problem that was out of her control. Why do you say it is wrong to post about people with physical disabilities? That could imply it is alright to post about those with mental disabilities? Or perhaps we should post about minorities. Is it alright to poke fun at any religion that isn't Christian? I'm sure you do not mean that but do you see how people can read whatever they want into a post and become offended? Thankfully, we all don't respond to everything that offends us. Take the post in the manner it was intended and lighten up.

"Crying on the inside..." maybe, but I see some girls thank looks like they willing posed for some pics with big smiles on their faces. How does a person know how they really feel? Best of judgement to see them? who knows...but hardly indecent.
