Posting from an iPad please read

I haven't had a computer to log on to this site or anything in about a year due to the fact that I sent my computer up to collage with my son. Just recentily with my new position came a new iPad. Now I have access to the world wide web again. Great right!!! No really. In a few of my first post back I ran into some inherent problems with posting on this forum while using my iPad. It has lead to some confusion and some misinturpitation. For that I would like to appolegize to anyone I may have offended or who I have posibable mislead with my wording. Ecspecially someone that I have always considered to be our friend and competitor. ALWAYSRACING70. Hell we have broke bread together. Let me try to explain.

As you type a post on the iPad after so many sentences the sentences start to roll off of the top of the screen. As they get out of view you can't scroll them back on to the screen. It has something to do with the slide technology on the touch. If you try to slide the sentences back down the screen so they come back into view the whole keypad disappears and the whole page slides. It makes it almost impossible to proof read your work and see if left out any words or mistyped any thing. While you are typing, if your little pinky accidentally touches the screen above the keypad all kind of things can happen depending on where you touch the screen at. When you go to preview post it is to late because if you go to change something. You can only change the couple of sentences that are in the typing area box. You can't slide all of the other sentences back into the box that are still out of view. It is a royal pain in the ass!!! Now I have tried to make the print smaller than it already is so I can get more on the screen and now my eyes are killing my and I can't see what I am typing.

So I decided to proof after a few sentences. You can just touch the screen anywhere in the typing box and start typing or deleting words. Bigger problem. As you start typing the iPad starts pushing everything that you already type right off of the screen at the bottom and it goes out of view and you have lost your place in the middle of a paragraph. You have to either just post it or delete it . This is a even bigger problem for a person like me that can get long winded when they are they are trying to get a point across.

So I will try to do a little better in the future when I am trying to get a point across like tomorrow about Chase Elloitt and you guys try to be a little more understand when reading somebody's post. They might not be able to proof their stuff. I read some of my earlier post and there words missing all over the place and words misused every where. If you are unsure of what I am typing please ask about it. Thanks. I don't mean no harm. I am usually just posting my opinions or experiences.

I can't possibly imagine how many words I missed or messed up in this post and the more I think about it the more I think that The Don has an iPad.

This is what happenes when we stop talking on the phone, or just stop talking face to face! Stop all the texting and emailing. The meaning and feelings don't come across well.

I just went to reply to Don's post. I typed a little funny response but I couldn't the little smiley face guy that I wanted to insert so I clicked on (more) to get more choices. Poof the page disappeared and and my entire post is gone into siber space never to return again. Good thing it wasn't a long post.

What Bubba said. It is painful. I'm sorry that Bubba is having the same results but than again I am glad it isn't just me. I thought I was just iPad illiterate.

And what Rick said is so true. A lot of people think I am complaining most of the time when I am really just posting my opinion on a topic like with my transmission. The United rules made it where our ASA cars are illegal just like ALWAYSRACING70's falcon transmission is illegal as per United rules. It don't have a clutch bolted to the flywheel. I was just stating the facts. I wasn't complaining. I could give a shit if I ever race a United race. But that should be my decision if I race not their rule book making the decision for me and the others who's cars are now illegal unless they change their clutch, starter, transmission, shifter, and driveshaft. I will just race where my car is legal. No biggie.

If I wasn't posting on an iPad I could have got my point a crossed easier.

I also use am iPad. It's great but differant as you say. Hey, this is a chat forum, not college English 3. Aside from the professor types, I.E. Boney, Winger Or is it Zinger and Mr. McKinley, no one really gives a crap if everything is spelled perfect, or if we say sh-- instead of crap!! Don't worry about it. I understand everything Don says and that's all that's important. I also know he is well capable of saying anything in very Plain easy to understand English.

A few new things have popped up lately. When you type a word and you "fat finger" and hit two keys it will put in what ever word the iPad wants in it's place. I tried to type factory a couple times but the iPad keeps putting in fractured. If you don't keep an eye on what you are doing your stuff is all messed up.
