George, I have heard that the only trailers they bothered were the ones with advertising on the sides. I heard that from several different sources. Bob.....

Also make sure your not over 48 ft long or weigh over 26,000lb with a combo because you are now commercial. The old "it's a motorhome" deal don't work anymore unless it is an actual motorhome or coach in which most people wont pull a 40lf double stack car trailer. They're cracking down. Plus the commercially advertised (billy bob beer racing etc) makes you commercial.

We had a flatbed busted down there recently for fuel sticker. The truck was empty (we just bought it from a fla company) but was transporting with NC tag.............they say gimme dat money!

Well this what we are bringing down, has SC plates and we are a business. Trailer is 28ft and the truck is about 22 ft Surburban.
Have used it many times for car shows just wondered about speedweeks when the just like to sock it to you.
Will probably come down 301 instead of 95.

I would think a suburban would be less noticeable than a big diesel toter.....good luck. I'm flying in tonight, based on my last trip it was cheaper to fly and rent a car than to drive.

An interesting aside to the show at VSP - lots of sprint cars hauled in plain white trailers. Why? So they wouldn't get hassled by the FHP.

True story. I talked to some of the big teams because I was shocked that they were in plain white rigs.
www.FloridaSprintCarFans.com - because Florida sprint car racing needs all the help it can get...

We make the run down in March for the Amelia Island show and also for other car shows and never got a 2nd glance. We have advertising on the side for our Business which is Florida based but the plates on the trailer are S.C.
We are going to go with the enclosed since I wiill bring down the Gator to move the car around. If you make it to the reunion drop by and say hello.
