    BOMBACI, Victor S. Victor S. Bombaci, 78, of Essex died on (February 2, 2008) at Middlesex Hospital. Beloved wife and best friend for 43 years to Gloria (Nesto) Bombaci. Born in Essex, son of the late John and Lavinia (DeStefano), Victor was a 1947 graduate of Pratt High School and 1949 graduate of the University of CT in the field of agriculture. He later worked with his family as a partner at Essex Sash & Door for 35 years. He was a member of (NEAR), New England Antique Racing with his best friend Bob Vitari, they owned and raced the CT. Valley Rocket V8. In addition to his wife , Victor is survived by his two wonderful sons; William J. Bombaci and his wife Elaine of Peabody, MA & Gary D. Bombaci of Essex, two grandsons Connor and Brian who were the joy of his life, his brother Tom Bombaci of Beverly Hills, FL, his sister Jennie Cutone and her husband Jerome and his sister-in-law Josephine Bombaci all of Essex, many nieces, nephews and friends. Victor was predeceased by his brothers; Anthony, Joseph and Santo and his sister Marie Bonanno. A Mass of Christian Burial will held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to church, at Victor's request there will be no calling hours. Interment to follow at Centerbrook Cemetery. Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, Centerbrook.
