Some very good points to bring up.. It seems as if politics is something that we could all live without... But regrettably we are stuck with it so... Let's make the best of it and make short track what it is, the best racing out there...

A note to all you guys coming down for speedweeks... Drop me a note or call me and we can all meet up and say hello and flip each other off in person...

    Have a great day all...

Behind those doors is ware i spent a lot of time gettting beat up for standing up for the racer. this was the worst of it.Hooters told me that i was going to tell the racer that there Super late contracts for the next year was no good and that they hade to build these cars or else. (Jimmy Cope said%%$&##@) The races will be run but NASCAR supper speedway rules only.(race back to the yello and soforth)
That was the day i gave a 2 week notice and left.My answer to that is i will not kill my friends. I was a % owner in USAR at the time and the old USA crew worked for Hooters. I had been there for 3 years.
The racing div of corp hooters wanted to own the show and be different than NASCAR. When it wae over they made a deal with NASCAR not to run short track latemodels and they would leave procup alone.
We won every battle but not the war.( q. BM. pick your fights carfully)
I broke that rule Fight NASCAR loose.

I know Don, I know, sigh.........this is one time we agree on something. It was a sad day really, I loved the supercup series and I don't think there will ever be another series like it. That was a fine example of the corporate dollar deciding what happens. Whatever killed the little formula cars though?

Just last week, the future of Pro Cup racing again came into question as the series, now headed up solely by Chip Lofton, Gary Kale and Jack McNelly, sent a letter to its teams that was also posted to its website, announcing the formation of an engine leasing program that will be mandatory in 2012, while also allowing the competition of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West-type racecars into the series.

the f-2 teems cryed they wanted more money and when we started they raced for free with SCCA.They cryed there way out. No one wanted to see them in short track racing. There wer some great teams there.
Then i took The owner of Hotters to The last big 10 race in NC. His words were i want to do that. thats what the people want to see. Bobby Gill and Fredy Quary at wae in real cars it was a show. # years latter he wants to be NASCAR. Many years after i left he told me that was a mistake but it was to late.
I pleaged not to get in to another racing job.
